We just released push notifications on the Current App. But we are only polling current relays for zaps and syncing events using strfry sync.

Hello #[1]​ Thanks for all the pods With Max. On your last pod, you both were discussing on how hard it is to on board new users.. This is one area we worked really hard to make it easy. Feature sets are now on par with other Nostr clients and even we enabled DMs and push notifications. Can you please give it another spin by going through new user creation and see how you can follow users from twitter and use the integrated Wallet to zap.

Any constructive feedback is always good and helps us make it better.

yea. Sure. Right now it is closed source. Wrote it on node.js and Postgres. Can easily turn it into a service on its own.

Respectfully disagree.Not everyone can run a node, pay high fees on opening a channel, routing fees and keep up with updates.

We did a math on cost benefit analysis on owning a node Vs using custodial solutions for lightning..! Unless you send/receive over $1000 per month, running a node is not beneficial.

Current App has a custodial wallet that solves the problem of sending and receiving zaps with 1-click.. leaving few thousand sats on a custodial wallet is like leaving some change on the glove box in a car. That does not erode bitcoin’s benefits… it actually improves the usage…!

Let’s teach people the pros and cons clearly and help them make the decision for themselves..!

Got the wallet connect functionality in. Should be easy for nostr.wine monthly subscriptions. Just support a way to input wallet connect link. You can then auto invoice every month..
