And if you travel a lot, observe the scanning machine queues... In a lot of airports, there is one queue that doesn't make you pull everything out. βοΈ

I think you might underestimate the developers here. π When I first arrived on Nostr in February 2023 you couldn't even upload images in clients directly. It's amazing how quickly clients have evolved and improved. I'm patient, and I am sure someone will create it in time. π―
Where we are, on the coast, it isn't too bad - but coming from Asia and tropical climates, I still feel cold a lot. I didn't get warm enough in the Kiwi summer to go swimming in the ocean... And then it becomes cold really fast. We don't get snow where I am currently, although some parts of NZ there is snow. π
Me too... This will be excellent. Scroll up from the last read note at my own pace. π«Ά

Spring has arrived. πΊ
Hopefully only getting warmer for the next few weeks until we start travelling again π€
I was really surprised. Probably like the least expected conversation at dads house ever π
I was pretty stunned when I realised she was already using it! My dad is not the kind of human I would have expected would approve of using bitcoin π
Yes it was so fun seeing her understand. π I'll be so excited to chat again with her in the future π§‘β¨
Today I visited my dad. He's 74, old school, and doesn't like that I work remotely for a company that pays with Bitcoin (he thinks I should get a real job). π
He had the TV news on in the background and there were multiple scenes of money printing flashing across the screen. I mentioned Bitcoin and he tells me my step mum buys Bitcoin. My eyes lit up (I was extremely surprised and didn't expect it at all). π€©
She's Russian and apparently has been sending bitcoin to her family in Russia for a long time (her parents who must be at least in their 70s or 80s). She had only been using it as a way to send money - until now. I started talking to her about some of the reasons I like Bitcoin. I saw her eyes light up. I think she understood. Hopefully she is going to start stacking too. π€π§‘
Anyway. I feel like that was an achievement. I could feel the tense energy of my dad as I'm telling his wife all about bitcoin. As much as he was trying to ignore what I was saying, I'm about 85% sure a lot of what I said made sense to him - he's pretty smart. Maybe, just maybe, he will also start looking into bitcoin. π€
Photo: Sunday morning vibes (shot taken by my 2yo who loves taking photos)
Absolutely! I think it's the freedom from becoming a home educator that makes the biggest difference. It is fantastic being able to experiment and find what works best for our children. π€©
We love our unschooling and worldschooling approach (really it's just travelling the world and learning via the journey - someone just used the worldschooling term and it caught on) π
It's crazy. I'm sad this happened to you. Glad you hear to have your saving in Bitcoin. ππ
