Thinking about python, geospatial, forestry, and LiDAR in small-town Idaho.

#[0] have you written out a description of issuance/difficulty adjustment on nutminer? Would be really cool if issuance automatically increased/decreased with the faucet capacity!

Haha I didn’t leave it running, but I had to get the screenshot

I tried to bring an AMD Threadripper into the mix but #[4] seems to have capped per session. I should have seen how many tabs I could open lol

I think I see what you mean from your video. Is the amount that gets displayed what you just zapped or the total on the post? Cannot wait to play with it!

Can the accidents be reverted for more than 5 seconds? I know I sometimes change my default zap setting. It would be good to have some sort of immediate feedback on the zap amount if you won’t see it every time when the invoice pops up

This is a good point. Would be cool if the button changed to the value after you zapped for the next 5 seconds at least

Hoping to catch up on NIPs and do some coding this weekend!

You can find all sorts of theories about liquidity impacts of miners selling/holding during certain parts of the cycle, which may have impacts on price in the short and medium term. As far as I’m concerned that’s all speculation and I think you are generally correct in the long term.

I have found some of the descriptions of cashu more accessible. It’s a different implementation but the concepts are similar. Fedimint is like an on chain version of cashu but with multisig. If you can wrap your head around cashu they should both make more sense

Can’t wait to see a GPT-4 with its own wallet. ChatGPT wouldn’t even take cashu tokens from me 😂

Nostr is not immutable. No reasonable person building an app for fun should ever expect that it will work forever in the future. This isn’t money, it’s social. If consensus changes haw they speak it’s reasonable that you should too.

Optimizing for the future and protecting protocol simplicity are both far more important that backwards compatibility.

I don’t know if it’s quite what you mean, but I believe fast.ai is non-profit and doing fantastic work. More focused on development and accessibility to tools than specific applications.

This mornings FT News Briefing “Jack Dorsey’s Bluesky takes on Twitter” - not even a mention of nostr 🤦‍♂️

This is amazing. A year ago I was convinced these AI algorithms were just regurgitating google photos people hadn’t seen. Now I’m just blow away by the aesthetic it can create!

Cast iron smash burgers for beef or impossible burgers on the grill - I hope I don’t get cancelled on nostr for this one
