Thinking about python, geospatial, forestry, and LiDAR in small-town Idaho.

Here is the build I’m looking at. You basically drop the two end noctuas and and adaptors and add a $120 ac infinity cloudline s6. I think you can get an adaptor for that online too. It’s pricey, but I’m tempted because I want to be able to put this in a bedroom. Zach Bomstra even talks about this fan on a recent bitcoin audible as the fan everyone chooses after doing research. None of the other options are quiet enough or they draw too much power or don’t pull enough air.

I flew spirit once to Nicaragua and was pleasantly surprised but I have also been completely screwed over by frontier and out those two in the same category. I’d probably go United.

I will be on the same path as soon as mine arrives! Are you going with the cryptocloaks noctua set up or the ultra-quiet cloudline s6?

Got it through kaboom racks

https://kaboomracks.com/

Cryptocloaks has a lot of parts though to help, that is my next stop.

I also ordered from kaboomracks. They are clearly very busy so the turnaround may be a bit slow, but from what I’ve heard they do a great job of testing and cleaning the miners when they come in.

It took a bit to wrap my head around it but it’s super powerful. Use make a throwaway admin key and put your real keys in the bunker. Then you can rotate the admin key all you want and keep your real key at home.

I experienced inconsistency getting it to work very early on and haven’t been on nostr much outside of Damus lately, but I’ve been meaning to reinstall nsecBunker.

HA no, nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 is right. Bluewallet said it timed out with an error box and all, but did send funds from my wallet. So the UX fail is on Bluewallet on my end. Sorry for the false claims there. Hopefully she logs on to collect her extra strong zaps!

Well, no… The first time it did actually timeout - twice. Possibly due to the service provider? A smaller zap just now sent successfully.

lol fair enough. “Sasquatch” just seems like a catch-all bucket to me. Not sure why it’s ever taken seriously

No I’m the dude that recognizes that visualizations with oddly large points on a national map over an undefined time period are extremely misleading

I have no context of whatever they were trying to achieve here. As a sender I just got a notification that the payment might time out after a few hours, but then it just immediately failed. If this is their non-custodial solution it’s bad for the whole space.

That’s fair. I can’t say I saw the same magnitude of repost - at least not concentrated enough that it disrupted content. The problem I see is that reposts are a valuable tool in many instances, especially if it’s an informative post. A second or third posting isn’t normally a problem and defining a note as “viewed” is likely a really hard software problem. You don’t know what someone did or didn’t read on their phone screen. Maybe there is a less aggressive solution like establishing a setting to put reposts in the replies section and/or grouping them together.

Well you don’t! Thats why I joke the app should also rebroadcast. Even if it thinks the note is deleted it probably still exists somewhere like all the nostrdb instances I wasn’t even thinking about

This is perfect. I was thinking a few minutes ago that someone should create a micro app called “did it delete?” That just scans all possible relays for evidence of that note. Bonus points for rebroadcasting it to all relays if it’s found 😂

It’s so funny. I think I was in the first 1000 or so on bluesky and it was so easy to dump my account. No desire to be on there.

On the other hand, if I lose my first nostr note I will lose my shit. Playing the long game!

The one mobile client I have that offers “delete” I just imagine the button says “delete… please?”
