The beaches are nice but a bit too hot and humid for my taste long term. The people? Incredibly warm and welcoming; Salvadorans' hospitality makes you feel at home instantly.
Business-wise, it's a goldmine for Bitcoiners. Even if BTC as legal tender was reversed by the government last February because they were forced by the devil IMF, nothing has changed much other than the government stopped accepting Bitcoin payments for their services. I personally would rather give my Bitcoin to local businesses and people for products and services than to government honestly.
Starting a business venture here is seamlessāno red tape, low taxes, quick incorporation and endless opportunities here. For a single person business, there's a new Simplified Incorporation framework that only takes 2 days to create and you only need to provide 1$ minimum investment and 1 shareholder. It's called ConstituciĆ³n de Sociedades por Acciones Simplificadas (S.A.S. de C.V.). So, it's really easy and affordable compared to the classic S.A. de C.V. (Sociedad es AnĆ³nima) that requires 2 shareholders minimum and 2000$ minimum investment.

Cost of living? Affordable but more pricey than other Central American countries. If you buy a house there are no property taxes and if you earn an income from outside the country, like a remote worker, you pay 0% tax here on that income. Living in a super safe place like El Salvador surpass cheaper and dangerous places like Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Belize. Safety's improved massively under Bukele.

Well, I'm lucky because today the Claro Bitcoin payment page was fixed! I paid my 34$ bill using Lightning and bingo!
