Они и марсельское мыло просрали. Основные производители марсельского мыла Турция и Китай. В самой Франции марсельскому мылу тоже не помогают и называют так в принципе что угодно, там регулирования и защиты в этом смысле практически нет.
Там до маразма доходит. Это мыло делают из оливкового масла, а олива вонючая. Ну и в отзывах мол почему их прекрасная олива пахнет как наш берёзовый дёготь. "Я знаю как оливки пахнут, в салате ел, было вкусно, а тут подделка какая-то". На Озоне дамы жалуются что в туалет зайти теперь невозможно. Пахнет как в социальной бане после бомжей. Ну не может МАРСЕЛЬСКОЕ мыло из ОЛИВЫ так чухонски вонять
На счёт марсельского мыла есть забавный сугубо российский прикол. Дело в том, что марсельское мыло это наше обычное хозяйственное мыло. У него выше степень очистки, нет животных жиров и при изготовлении, вроде как, используют гидрокарбонат натрия, а не гидроксид (но тут я хз, как там в реальности), но по факту это оно и есть - хозяйственное мыло. При этом "марсельское мыло" звучит романтично и привлекательно, так что булка хрустит и шампанское рекой, а "хозяйственное мыло" звучит совково и колхозно. Перед глазами жир с трупов собак, щелочная вонь и детские ссаные пелёнки на улице.
В целом понятно куда я клоню. На любом маркетплейсе в отзывах будет "воняет как хозяйственное мыло", "сушит кожу", "похоже на дегтярное", "подходит для стирки". Люди покупаются на упоминание Марселя и часто оказываются неготовы к правде.
By the way, not everyone knows that you can wash your head with shower gel. Can you wash your body with shampoo? Not really. Shampoos have antifungal added to them, and they often have a more aggressive composition. Not to mention that shampoo is more expensive than shower gel.
Another discovery. You can brush your teeth with soap. Not any soap, but the simplest soap. Something like Marseille soap (but not Soviet laundry soap). It's not a particularly pleasant practice, but it's better than nothing (if you don't have toothpaste).

I don't think Putin has anything new to say to his Western audiences. After all, he has elections coming up in Russia and even though he has no competition, he is still trying to sell himself to people as anti-western and traditionalist (being neither).
Time has shown that #French soap is the best. Both modern organic and classic Marseille #soap. Interestingly, the French themselves still love and use Syrian-made soap.
It is funny that in Russia such soap is not popular and is not sold, and what is sold is 99% likely to be fake.

I am an open-minded skeptic and I challenge what I think I know, rather than try to confirm it. But that doesn't mean I disagree with the 'establishment' or 'mainstream' on lots of things. Only on a few things. Only where the evidence leads me.
In particular, I agree with mainstream nutrition science. And I know far more about it than I let on (even though I don't practice it). I've followed it since the 70s and have too many books. I was raised a vegetarian by an SDA mother who preached the Ellen White "health message" to us kids growing up. I remember the science even then showing SDAs living something like 9 years longer than everybody else. My great grandmother (an SDA) lived to 99. I'm a member of the CR society and used to post on that newsgroup for years. I let myself lapse in the last 15 years and let myself be convinced by passing fads, articles, and meta-analyses that meat is good for you and that keto is good for you (and I ended up with a property that had sheep on it so I learnt to farm sheep) and I sorta thought the mainstream view had moved past low-fat diets on to low-carb ones. But I dug into it today and... nope. I was just fooled by what has become popular online.
You keto diet people are going to die of heart attacks in your 50s and 60s. You will seem healthy right up until the end. Fit, lean body mass, top form. Then pop, you're dead. The science was in 50 years ago and is only more certain now. Don't be fooled by supplement salesmen or beef industry lobbyists.
