Our city got hit pretty bad. Prayers appreciated.

Lots of property damage, but only a few injuries, no serious injuries.

I'll be heading out with a chainsaw and a strong back to help out.

In looking forward to nGit becoming a thing. Copilot is really, really useful, though...

We fortunately have very little medical need, so it's not been a problem, and I don't anticipate to be so. We've been fully red pilled on all the FDA/CDC/big pharma/big food/insurance industrial complex.

On my Windows 11 work PC, I used to have to close them all to free up enough RAM to properly run my CAD. Now that I have 64GB I don't have to do that so much anymore, but still... Before the upgrade, between Windows caching every system file in-RAM and chrome being the terrible RAM hog we all know it to be, that otherwise top-of-the-line laptop performed as poorly as my 2017 personal laptop.

#askNostr, best value commuter car by cost of ownership for the American Midwest?

I bet someone has a calculator. If not, I kinda want to build it.

You know you're a computer nerd when you need to use your desktop for updating banking passwords so you can use the browser dev console and inject JavaScript into the banks website to get around the 'prevent-copy-pasting' flag on the passwords fields.

I like my Base64 encoded SHA256 hash as a password, thank you very much!

Now to get that into my phone...

I don't know anything about this "dip" you're all talking about. All I see is that 1BTC = 1 Bitcoin.

Yeah, way better! How many subscriptions just make it impossible to get them to stop. So frustrating... This will make the market competitive again!

Let's stay in touch, then.

I am a Catholic convert, and the current pontiff might have been an obstacle if I were paying him attention during my conversion. It was really early in his pontificate (I converted the fall following hits election), so his faults didn't really show themselves to me at the time.

He's not an obstacle to my staying Catholic, but I do understand those for whom he is.

Subscription payments, however, are a net negative, I think. It encourages the business model of getting people to signup but them forget they have the service. Bad business.
