When was the last time you closed all of your browser tabs?
Discussion
I do fresh starts every few days. I’m also an inbox 0 person.
Wow.
I used to be an inbox 0 person until I realized I can spend 0 minutes managing my inbox by not managing it at all 🤣
I just skim the senders and subjects and mark all as read every few hours. I either open the ones that look important or star them and come back to them later when I have time.
Daily. I'm obsessed with maintaining a clean browsing environment, and that means no errant taps just lurking. The people on the other end of the spectrum are the people who have hundreds of open tabs. That's maddening to me, and I think those people are insane. Lol
I have 50-90 tabs open at any given time and I don’t shut down unless there’s a system update that requires a restart
That would destroy me. I'd probably hurl myself off the nearest bridge if I had that many tabs. I'd have to take a week off to manually review every tab and determine its correct state, and create appropriate bookmarks using my bookmark notation system so that I could quickly call them to up if and when needed. It would be a lot of work.
I call that: Declaring Tab Bankruptcy
Only everytime I have to restart my desktop which is close to never
Close them about once a day. I sometimes have more than one window open which is bad too. Lol
Oh yeah I forgot about other windows 😆 have those too.
A few years, or whenever my browser crashes 😅
You can close them!?
I am a browser tab hoarder
never. even when i close, i restoe from history. it's aimost like "workspace"
Once I get a new device.
I now run multiple browsers with different colour themes so I can navigate between them for different categories of tabs, each in collapsible groups, and I still can’t see them all
Great reminder thanks.
Every day 😉🤟🏴☠️
On my Windows 11 work PC, I used to have to close them all to free up enough RAM to properly run my CAD. Now that I have 64GB I don't have to do that so much anymore, but still... Before the upgrade, between Windows caching every system file in-RAM and chrome being the terrible RAM hog we all know it to be, that otherwise top-of-the-line laptop performed as poorly as my 2017 personal laptop.
You mean intentionally or by accident? 😆
Lol, why would I ever do that?
