What is causing the discrepancy?

It’s interesting to see how nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 shows more engagement/likes than nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg on the same post.
Damus shows 9 likes while Primal only has 4. Could this be a relay or client issue?

I can receive zaps, but I’m unable to send them. Do I have enough zaps that were sent to me to send out, or do I need to buy more?

I think I’m having some issues, maybe it’s not updated yet on the relays 🤷🏽 I first setup my wallet using alby but then switched to Coinos.io. Could this be the problem?

I do not know how to create a lightning address. I see on Damus & Primal there is a way on how to, unless you are referring to another way maybe self-hosting?
There's a lot to digest, and I really appreciate all the helpful input from everyone, including yourself. After posting for setup advice, I received various suggestions, many of which were outside the scope of what I had researched. While I’m grateful for all the support, the sheer number of options is a bit overwhelming for now.
For context, I primarily use iOS/MacOS and own a domain, which I understand might be useful for NIP-05. I also have a Synology NAS, though I’ve heard it might be underpowered for nostr. I wanted to share this to see if it offers more flexibility in getting started with nostr.
It feels a bit buggy with notifications.
Could that be because of the relays?
I’m still learning the Nostr Protocol as a self-taught beginner, but I truly believe it has massive potential to take off. The main challenge right now is simplifying the entry point for new users.
Once people realize how much better Nostr is than mainstream platforms (like IG, X, FB), the migration will happen. The engagement, content, and features are far superior. Plus, there’s no need for arbitrary metrics like follower count or views to start earning.

Will hold off self-hosting until buying a refurbished x86 machine. The more I dive into self-hosting, the more I realize how underpowered Synology and OS really is especially when scaling.
