By default it will report messages received via #Lightning invoices and keysends in the past 30 days but this, along with various display and server options are configurable with the nodeyez-config tool

Ended up using lncli sendpayment --outgoing_chan_id along with the provided pay_req invoice. Worked no problem. Any GUI tools provide this "first hop" selection?
