Accurate Predictions

One of my favorite predictions was that Bitcoin would be o central issue in the 2024 US presidential campaign. When Nolan made that prediction more than a year ago no one else was saying it. Now it is a reality.

What’s your favorite Nolan prediction? What prediction are you brave enough to make - one that will test your worldview?

Here’s mine - this summer will see BLM 2020 style riots with widespread vandalism, knifings, and unrest in the EU and the US beginning with the Paris Olympics reminiscent of the ‘72 Munich PLO incident. This will lead either to lockdowns or the attempt to lockdown. This is the breaking of the second seal of the fiat apocalypse in my worldview.

Remember the apocalypse is about waking people up. Look around that’s what has been happening a great awakening. In Bitcoin terms folks are awakening to the evils of the rigged fiat money system, and learning about the one true money.

Buckle your seatbelts though because this is the year the second seal is broken. The fiery rider will take peace from the land. The BLM riots the flared up in the time of the first seal are a foreshadowing of the turmoil of the second seal. Stay calm and cheerful. Find your tribe. Wake up!

Engineering Grade Money

I agree with Dhruv Bansal’s idea that Nostr in its current form may be biting off too much. I’m a big fan of his model of Layer 0 market (energy for block reward), and layer 1 (sats for transaction). I think what Nostr is solving for now may be more than one market. We’ll see.
