Only time being dad is bad for my heart is when the little moo calls me at 3 in the morning then doesn't leave me a "don't panic" message so I wake up see thevmissed call and panic.

Dads are so important. There was a study on Elephants here in Africa where there were too many teenage elephants who were damaging everything, killing other animals and destroying their environment. So large male elephants were introduced, who put things to right, taught the teens some manners and helped the matriarch manage the herd.

Might be true. I’ve frequently thought the sleepless nights of various kinds especially in those first three months may have a detrimental impact on health. Wouldn’t be the first species that would sacrifice themselves for their progeny. Because that kind of is the definition of parenthood.
