My childhood was volatile as fuck.

There's an old southern saying that goes something like:

In my haste of moving, I've misplaced my #bitcoin cold storage wallet.

Am I worried?

No.

Because my seed phrase is not with it or any where near it.

I'm optimistic I'll find it, tho, and if not, the wallet is easily replaceable.

I spend a lot of time out in the woods alone; like at least 10 to 20 hours a week, and my favorite thing is nothing is lying to me or positioning itself as some strange humanistic projection.

A tree is a tree, and a bird a bird. Nothing is not what it presents itself as. It is truly a relief for me to have such a space for myself. Living in the middle of nowhere can be difficult in someways, but the benefits are immense.

I truly understand that mindset and feeling of nothingness and everything at the same time. There is no pretense, what you see, what you feel asks nothing of you, it's just a singular experience with your soul and the space around you.

The beauty of nothingness, for me, is I can make the time and experience anything I need or want it to be.

Simplicity is the key.

I fucking despise surveillance capitalism, not so much for the hyper 1984 style technological tyranny (but that’s a close second), but for the absolute banality of it all.

We are spied upon and have our privacy violated for the debased and nihilistic purposes just to sell us more useless shit that we are programmed into thinking we want by the very apparatus selling it.

It’s just all so tiresome and dull.

The only escape is nature, it's when one can connect within themselves and be truly alone.

Had my first encounter of the year with a terrified masked person yesterday. For one of my part-time jobs I'm inside a large chain store. I try to keep to myself but customers always assume that "I work there." I usually have one earbud in listening to podcasts or books and try to ignore people walking around looking lost. This doesn't always work... which was the case yesterday. The aforementioned individual stopped about 10 ft away and starts talking to me. I made a display about pausing my book and removing my earbud and stepped towards the person to inquire as to what they were mumbling about from behind this cloth mask. Without moving their feet they kind of leaned back and raised a hand.

Thankfully, about this time a store employee came strolling by. I pointed to them and put my earbud back in. Never could understand what they were saying.

If your goal is growth and making things easier for the “normies” I start to wonder if you’re really against X, Facebook, or Spotify, or are you just jealous you’re not as big as them? Once you have your growth and mass of normies using your app, how would you wield your power? When it starts to make sense to compromise your values because you might lose market share, what will you do? Do you really think with all your striving for growth and mass adoption that you’re any different than Zuck or Musk?
