It would be interesting to know their threat model but also it would be highly ill advised for them to share that information. No one should ever divulge information about their key setup, It would be terrible opsec. I can only assume that a nation state would have an extensive multisig such as a 5 of 10 or something to that effect?
Now i'm curious. Is it possible with multisig to program one or two keys to be "essential" so for example, you might need 5 keys total to access the funds, but at least one of those has to be an "essential key" held by either president or vice president for example?

They absolutely should not be! I'm 100% with you on that. But try telling that to the idiots and predators of the internet and you might find they don't agree with us, and they are so underdeveloped that I fear some will never learn. Therefore we need to protect ourselves against them.
