I put that this is a “huge snake” in the Alt but, is it? I'm just going on the steps. It's a mistake not to put a human figure in something like this to give it scale. Its giant mouth is echoed by the carving on the wall behind it.

In this case it was the chart success of the relatively 'radio-friendly' Offspring that made it possible, whereas those other bands I'd never heard here on the radio (if I'd picked better radio stations I probably would have).

And I also think it used to be a little better, at least in certain spots, there was this crazy time in the 90s where stuff was just popping OFF on mainstream rock radio and I was a kid so I didn't mind the ADS like I do now. Weezer, Nirvana.. it was new. I don't know if radio seems that way to kids now, but stuff feels REALLY kinda homogenous now on the radio from what I've heard. When I was in Florida, I could barely listen to mainstream rock radio, I had to mostly listen to classic rock and techno stations. Or hiphop. And same here in AZ. I can't listen except to like, specialty shows like local punk stuff, late night. And even THAT kinda plays a ton I don't wanna hear. I just stick to my ever-increasing gigs of mp3s 😂

Granted, my wireless adapter is a little janky and doesn't like to stay connected. Same with the S21. The cords are kinda crappy, and the USB. when it works right, it instantly detects and pulls up the phones folders in a new window. (As it did the first time, and I was able to transfer a few things). But then it disconnected. And for the remainder of the time, when I unplug and replug the cord, it slowly tries to download drivers for it for some reason, which it clearly doesn't need or already has, so I unplug, try again. Ad infinitum. I had to stop after a while because of the rage. It should be a simple thing and it was just infuriating. Technology.
