Today marks the day of the release of #cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Almost a year ago, I began working on a #song that was to be included in the new, community radio in this DLC.

The contest made me dig into the lore of the #game, write motifs that would paint a picture of Night City and connect with other awesome folks that create #music I’d probably never connect with otherwise.

This also made me systemize my production workflow, but above all - it made me ship a complete #song within a month.

Although the piece ended up not being included in the game, I still enjoy it greatly. The lesson for me here is that timely creation is not only possible, but necessary for artistic growth.

These are my in-app wallet settings. Don’t really have the choice you’re mentioning.

I tried both with the Lightning Address and Lightning Invoice from Wallet of Satoshi, to no avail.

Something is broken.

I copy the Lightning URL from this app. Then, I reach the Wallet setting here at Damus.

However, upon selecting the bottom option ‘connect wallet’, first I get ‘invalid URL’ error, then the app asks me to allow pasting from the wallet app, and the whole thing finishes with Domus with non-responsive ‘paste’ button.

Is it reproducible, or is it just me? Using iPhone 11 with no jailbreak btw.

I completely agree with the author that it’s never been easier to share one’s obscurities with the world and, with the advent of convenient payment solutions, earn a comfortable living doing so.

Although I would also agree that the social media/maintaining connections with even 1000 people is challenging and definitely not for everyone, I’m convinced that it’s gonna be easier for a single artist to get by with a single PR agent of their choice than to survive as a cog in an enterprise.

Though it requires skills different from solely artistic, the fact that you can actually survive as an artist in the current day and age is remarkable.

Since you can make pretty much everything on anything, it would really come down to your personal preference.

I current work exclusively in GarageBand on iPhone. The cons for me are:

- no actual metering

- lack of access to the master bus

- lack of automation, except for volume

That translates into maintaining control over levels, difficulty in final processing for release, and less convenient control over shaping sound dynamically.

And aside that technical mumbo-jumbo… It’s a free app, where you can bring any idea to live, however complicated it may seem!

With loads of samples, amazingly responsive and expressive instrumental on-screen keyboard and song management features, it’s more that you could ask to try out ideas.

I’ve recently bought myself an iRig for guitar, an amp modeler and a few synths… I can do virtually anything, when it comes to actually creating.

However, I’m considering switching to Cubasis 3, as it has the missing features, yet comes with a different flavor of UI. I’m not a big fan of the last, tho

To conclude - explore, be curious! If you have any music, let alone some grasp on theory and willingness to learn from terrible demos at the start, you e got it.
