Winter is in the air, yet a beautiful Fall day.
To which S replied. "Yeah, I know man." no confrontation on "S's" part. I was really proud of "S", a year ago this would not have been his response.
The moral of this is, every man needs a hand up and when given it there is growth for the better. Let's keep trying to lift our fellow men/women up.
I took one of our resident, "S", from our Helping Homeless Restart Society's Dew Drop Inn, to get his monthly shots on Wednesday. We go every three weeks. this medication is what he needs to keep him stable. the change in him over the year is significant as a result of this medication.
As he got out of the car he had one of his coughing spells, he is a smoker. The man getting into his vehicle beside our car said, "Hey man, don't you know smoking will kill you?" To which S

The cool thing about that evening, three of our residents came and helped us out as well. Unfortunately not every one was in the picture.

Our Helping Homeless Restart Society now has charitable status. What a long wait it has been and what a lot of hoops to jump through but we did it. We are excited to finally have been granted charitable status. YAHOO!

I took one of our residents, from our insecure housing project, to get his monthly shots today. He admitted to me that he realizes how important they are for him. They keep him stable. He said he knows he must get them! Knowing this is a huge step on his journey to freedom.

My challenge has been connecting with like minded folks, which is surprising because if we are both here on nostr we likley share at least an interest in decentralization and #bitcoin.
