SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS Bitcoin, šŸ“š, & MSTR.

Alright, here is my few sats about the #Bitkey:

1. 🤩 Block nailed with the design! I love how it feels in my hands! Something like a premium class!

2. šŸ’„ It is really the easiest set up I ever had and spend my time on! Took me ~2 minutes. And it’s fucking 2of3 multisig!

3. Transfer in and out was also very easy and their app is simple to understand! 🚨 But when sending out sats I want to have a custom fe.

4. 🚨 I couldn't connect it to electrum server! It doesn't work!

5. 🤯 Recovery process from emergency kit was easy. I extracted PDF from Iphone icloud then downloaded APK to my Pixel and scanned it. 🚨 On the other note, I don’t use Google Play store or any other stores on GrpaheneOS that makes this device useless! The APK file is only for emergency kit and not for setting up new wallet.

6. The 2of3 multisig ā€œbehind the scenesā€ is cool but I can’t move my whole stack to this wallet. 🚨 I need seed words without it I’m locked to use Block device forever šŸ˜•

7. The daily limit is a cool feature that you set up and can spend sats from your app(hot wallet) without need of the bitkey device! 🚨 But $200 is really nothing burger and I wish there will be other options. At least few thousand $

7. ā˜ļøThis is going to be my pocket wallet for small amounts for sure. Also one will be gifted to my mother so she definitely will gonna like this set up 🧔

For 6, are you saying you can’t just recover the whole wallet without a bitkey?

Because I think that’s correct. So it’s probably worth buying an extra.

And yes, I’m fighting the $200 issue now. See my posts from a bit ago.

It’s denominated in dollars though. I would presume it adjusts based on the dollar price of bitcoin.

And fees may not be that low forever.

I still don’t get it. People should rarely be sending .00296605 bitcoin on chain.

I’m wondering how the Mobile Pay function actually works.

Is it working with Cash App and making a credit & then settling up on chain sometime later?

Otherwise I can’t see why 1) there should be a $200 limit and 2) why there should be an ability to send $1 (who should do this on chain? Nobody!), and 3) why it’s (only) in dollars and not #Bitcoin or Sats.

I don’t want a bunch of small UXTOs. And I don’t think we should be suggesting low information bitcoiners should do so either.

*UTXO. Typing fast and making mistakes. Mistakes on NOSTR are so fun. It’s a place where they never die and haunt you forever. šŸ˜‚

Guess the answer to the #Bitcoin trivia question without knowing the question.

For background, this is general bar trivia.

My guess: Satoshi Nakamato.

nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m: I can buy Semler Scientific (ā€œSMLRā€) on Robinhood but not Cash App. Any chance we can fix that? I like supporting fellow #Bitcoin equities by owning some of their shares and want to do so on Cash App, not Robinhood because I don’t trust Vladimir Tenev & Cash App is a real Bitcoin company.

The humility and ethics of Satoshi are obvious to all who read his writings.

He was (or is) a humble person even though he was (or is) a genius.

Some people think we are living in a terrible timeline. But this makes me think we are living in one of the better ones.

🤣

(No, I can’t and won’t try to explain how the group chat got here.)

Bitcoin is a Rorschach test.

You see what you want.

I read the Ashlee Vance one. I enjoyed it. I haven’t gotten to the Walter Isaacson one yet.

But that’s not at least 50 years old!

I’m really trying to compile a list of great books that have survived the test of time and clearly aren’t being recommended because they are the new thing. I also worry we’re all engaged in group think, just reading the same best sellers. Bitcoiners read a lot but I worry we’re all reading the same thing creating a bubble.

What’s the best fiction and the best nonfiction book you’ve read that’s at least 50 years old? šŸ“š

(Not including the Bible not Quran. Those are pretty common answers.) #Bookstr
