I’m Coptic Orthodox. Most people don’t realize that Egypt was mostly Christian at one point. They still comprise about 10% of the population and there are a ton of ancient monasteries and churches there, some dating from the first and second centuries.

Orthodox and catholic Bible has all of the deuterocanonical books. In fact the orthodox services often reference them in liturgical practice.
The claim that 14 books were removed from the Bible is misleading. The Catholic Bible has always included 73 books, and no books were removed in 1684 or any other year. The confusion often arises from differences between Protestant and Catholic Bibles.
Protestant Bibles typically exclude the Deuterocanonical books (referred to as the Apocrypha), which include texts like Tobit, Judith, Wisdom of Solomon, and 1 & 2 Maccabees. These were part of the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) but were later excluded by Protestants in the 19th century to save printing costs and due to doctrinal differences.
The Catholic Church still includes these books in its canon, while Protestant Bibles now have 66 books instead of 73.
