It will one year in July that I've been streaming bitcoin-only games on Twitch. Now watching people stream games on Nostr and get zaps is literally such an iconic moment. And I'm so emotional right now thinking about it.

We were only 2 people streaming bitcoin games on Twitch. In one year we now have more people streaming bitcoin games, doing satoshi giveaways on their gaming streams, and being able to receive tips in bitcoin. We also have more of us (The Bitcoin Gamer Squad) creating bitcoin gaming content.

And now there's live streaming on Nostr!!! What a great time to be alive as a content creator! I'm so grateful. 🧡

This is the kind of example people use to say we should never expose any "internal" codes to users because they are dumb and will be frightened, it's not "good UX" and so on.

And yet phone apps do show the number that is calling, even if there is a name associated with it.

And they also show users a giant keypad where users can type numbers directly and -- surprise -- everybody understands and types numbers there all the time! (or at least they did when people used to use telephones.)

Most people are only as smart as they need to be. They use their mental bandwidth for things other than technology.

I assume good faith and recognize mistakes as a flaw in the centralized shareholder owned platform model. Elon did what you wanted and lost $30 billion of his own money. Jack would not have been allowed to lose shareholder money like that. Protocols not platforms.

No spook, just an ethical healthcare worker horrified at the disinformation war we have been seeing, of which Twitter has been a key element. If I were a spook I'd more likely stand beside the CEO who made it all possible.

Have you wondered why Jack advocates Nostr so hard? It's because he knows protocol's can't be censored as easily as platforms can.

He tried engaging her on the issues and she just wanted to talk political optics. Him returning showed grace and poise on Krystal's end because he got the better of that previous engagement IMO

Damus will be removed from the app store in 14 days, apple says zaps are not allowed on their platform because they *could* be used by content creators to sell digital content. This is right before I’m about to give my talk at the oslo freedom forum on how decentralized social networks with lightning integration are bringing financial freedom to the masses... pretty sus… 😕

This would be a watershed moment: If people can’t transact freely p2p on their platform, this has huge implications for the entire ecosystem of apps with lightning integration and v4v.
