It is preceived as provocation because it is perceived as "I attribute this near 0 value to *you*" and "be happy you this because you're not getting much else, from anyone anyway, loser." Maybe these zaps are just a symbolic way to interact or test out the payment system. Would be cool if everyone had the option to "decline" or "decline by rule", such as block a sender or set a minimum sat amount. More control, less distraction, higher satisfaction.

Great, I like fonts and text size and it mostly looks really nice. However, information overload. Also, the dark mode makes it hard to read. Maybe add a lighter shade beneath the text? As in, large text block (buttons) or frames such as used by instagram? Center frame shows what I mean:

Echo chambers are highly divisive and ultimately repugnant. That's why I do not not support them. One certainly does not "need to vibe with" the majority of people in order to experience meaning with this protocol. I use the search box to find content I like, comment, follow, connect, post what I like, let others follow, connect again. If you put some time in your profile, post and interact with people's posts regularly, I don't see why you shoudn't be able to grow your presence catering to any audience. Additionally, you can pay more attention to which relays you interact with - what kind of posts are common there, especially language and content variety. The more content variety and regular topics we have on our relay, the more attractive it will be for us all. 🌹

Hey Ben. Great idea, however: i advise being cautious not to attempt to "buy stars" with zaps, cause that will come off desperate and result backfiring. instead, let them have an experience where they will be tempted to bring in their communities themselves. There has been accomplished a lot in the past to make it easier for people to create accounts and connect, without restricting any of the foundational Nostr freedoms. This is crucial. Over the course of time, we need to keep discussing and holding up Nostr community values, keep them in order and advertise them. This will attract the right people for the right reasons.
