There’s two of us here: Diana & Tom. We are a photography collective based in the Berkshires, Massachusetts. Art prints for your home, Visual Storytelling for your business.

Driving home (slowly) in a sudden blizzard was interesting tonight. Crazy and beautiful.

Thought I’d solicit some feedback on art drops from the #artstr community here.

Each month we unveil a new limited release #photography print in a medium-form post on Substack. We have grown our mailing list from 0 to 500 in under two years (many of these will be other artists). In the post we share some context to the work and process when relevant. The prints are open edition, signed, made-to-order and available for 7 days only, after which it’s unavailable for at least a year. Various sizes are available, and custom requests are possible. The idea here of course is to create some anticipation and motivate someone who likes the work to move quickly if they want to order a print.

Our newsletter/Substack is the primary place where we share the link to the art drop page on our website. We want to encourage people who like our work to join our list to be notified when a new art drop is published.

So the pitch is essentially ‘join our newsletter for access to our art drops that are only open for 7 days. Otherwise you might miss out on a piece you really like.’

We are always wondering how to adjust the concept, other than continually striving to create good work. Future art drops will allow anyone who wants to pay with #bitcoin to place an order. If you have any feedback or suggestions let us know in the comments. And if you want to join our list the link is on our profile. Thank you!

I know how you feel. It’s interesting. When I’m seeing potential photographs and not able to get them for whatever reason it’s like a part of me dies from the loss of what might have been.

nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft Need a little support with Olas. ‘Save’ isn’t working when I paste in my Nostr connect wallet url (Coinos). I hit Save and nothing happens, tried repeatedly. I go back, then go into it again and it’s empty. Any ideas?

#bitcoin doesn’t care how cold it is outside.

It’s 18F here in western Massachusetts with a freezing wind and a RealFeel of 8F. It’s a thermals on kinda day.

If all goes well and I get Diana onboard we will be switching from a Fujifilm X-T3 to the Panasonic Lumix S5ii. It’s a downgrade in megapixels and lacks a few features we are used to (no multiple exposure mode, no sensor cleaning on shutoff) but brings many other benefits. I can’t wait to put it to work.

Sounds good, that’s what I’m hoping for, among other things. What were you shooting on before, and what are you using now?

New #photography gear incoming. It won’t make me a better photographer but it might bring about some improvements on a number of levels. If you have transitioned from an APS-C sensor to full frame I’d be curious to hear how that went and any insights.
