The US military has bragged about how they have provided a career for the less educated, impoverished, and unemployed. I see it as the US Govt causing mass inflation, the dust bowl, depressions, etc. and telling the people they priced out of the market to eat a bag of shit and go fight wars.
There definitely are war sycophants and murderous psychopaths that didn't think twice to enter the military, but that's still a small percentage of the military. Even people in the military don't want to fight wars. Otherwise, how do we explain the series of ceasefires between warring national armies around Christmas of 1914 during WW1?
I'm not downplaying the evil of "just following orders". What I am saying is that Conscripted soldiers, the Hitler Youth, Villagers eating one another in the Holodomor; These people were coerced to act under the direction of powerful Authoritarian infrastructures.
These are by no means virtuous people, though do we hate the victims of Stockholm Syndrome? They are thrown into a terrible situation and don't know what else to do but make the best of it.
Still defend ourselves but not hold hate in our hearts for people in a worse off situation than ourselves.
I have strong feelings towards Communism but feel sad for people who believe in it.
This is just a first draft version of my thoughts on the matter.
Both Ukraine and Russian Govts are committing crimes against humanity. Don't pretend there is a good guy in the fight. Pray for and do what you can for the citizens against the war.
Try not to become Doctor Manhattan
Knowing something is wrong is not mutually exclusive with continuing to enjoy life in spite of it.
Taxes do not pay for Govt spending when they are in a deficit and covering the debt with QE of their currency, like most countries. Taxes are a threat to citizenry of imprisonment if not paid in full, nothing more.
I agree that if these tourists are actively ignorant, its a shame, but the Russian Govt would do what they want either way.
Did Hiroshima and Nagasaki, mostly citizens, deserve to get an Atomic Bomb dropped on them in WW2?
I have a certain understanding of the sentiment of the note. Collectivist thinking is not gonna help when it comes to resolving the War.
Citizens of a Govt are not to blame for the actions of their Govt. Individual American citizens are not to blame for the American Govt and their Imperialist international policy for the last half a century.
Not everyone wants to leave a place they call home. The NYC culture is not the same as their governance. Citizens living in a jurisdiction they dislike are still capable of participating in Civil Disobedience.
Freedom loving Californians will not wear masks and will participate in Bitcoin, all in an effort to disobey the unjust authority of local govt. From the outside, California is a state full of libtards who want to take away your children and sterilize them.
In reality, there are more Conservative and Religious people in the less urban areas than popular consensus believes. Majority of the geography don't want lunacy, but its the urban centers with high population densities that overwhelm due to Direct Democratic Political infrastructure.
The Russian citizens and culture are not the problem its their Govt. Same thing with comparable countries, like China.
Centralized Governance corrupts absolutely, and Wars are stroking the egos of political class.

Historical Literacy, or just literacy in general, would broaden the perspective of swaths of people in society.
I'm only just starting back up my reading of the Harry Potter books, PoA atm, there is a certain level of agreement I have with people that have distaste for the Potter sycophants.
That's the only thing they read, no other literature or thinkers, so all these fans think the world is how Rowling portrays it.
Although Tate has insights, his actionable advice is by no means the only response to modern problems.
Marx was correct in recognizing a problem in the economic reality he faced, but had a metaphysical foundation that forced him to see the world in the form of "haves and have not"
Stalin knew there was grain shortages during the famine, but thought it was because of the Capitalists and a lack of total centralization.
Nah WEF, I'm good, I got BTC
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is an Authoritarian, saying she can act as if she has a right to restrict Gun Rights as a measure to "protect the children" while in the same CNN interview professing a belief in "Reproductive Rights"
"Reproductive Rights" tend to be a euphemism for Abortion, and Abortions are Murders of unborn Human Children.
Restricting Gun Rights will result in more, not less, innocent children being murdered.
Abortion is not Healthcare and results in, again, more innocent children being murdered.
Right to defend oneself = Negative Right
Right to Abortion = Positive Right
Get your ducks in order, Governor. These are not the same.
Nobody has a right to another person's property, including their life and services. To say the murdering of human life in the womb is morally just, compared to the right to own and bear a firearm, is just plain wrong.
Authoritarians are gonna try and grab power wherever its convenient.
All Children's Lives Matter, not just the ones that get cherry picked for a political agenda.

Preach lol
Men make houses, Women make homes.
Both are highly valuable and need the other to make things work.
"white supremacist capitalism". Sounds like a Racist Commie wanting shortages on coffee beans.
Racist Commie : "Its the White Capitalists fault that coffee is so expensive"
Bolshevik survivor : "Hold my coffee..."
There is hierarchy in any partnership, the question is whether participation is voluntary or coercive. Flat out 50/50 responsibility creates no ownership over projects or leadership.
Though in Christianity, the partners become one through a mutual love for God. So yes, partnership is achievable under Christian Praxis.
Many social, and inherently moral, questions are dependent upon metaphysical worldviews. Secular philosophies tend to be morally relativistic, so there is no "right or wrong". At best they can be Absurdist with a preference to a particular Theological Tradition.
Be wary of philosophical foundations that revolve around power dynamics. Destruction is the net outcome, in the long run, when motivated by Power.
I think we're largely on the same page, I'm a Hodler. I agree with the last two paragraphs. Its just the caveat of a certain percentage of people always wanting more "bang for their buck" without the cost of time.
Addressing your points:
(1) Quality of life improves and everything gets cheaper (deflation) on a BTC standard, though there will still be Capital Markets (Bonds and Equities bought/sold, except priced in BTC).These Capital Markets are an emergent feature of Capitalistic Economies. Economic calculations are difficult, likely more difficult on a BTC Standard due to a more robust economic infrastructure and the Hard Money that is BTC.
People will want to invest in those markets, admittingly a smaller percentage of the population due to a deflationary Bitcoin Standard. Regardless there will be funds to address the demand for delegation of effective economic calculation in the Capital Markets.
You are right, there isn't a need to invest in broad securities/bonds. We can tell from what is known of situations like BlockFi, people will loan out their Bitcoin for a Bitcoin return (regardless of the actual yield). The same can be said for buying securities priced in Bitcoin for a Bitcoin dividend.
(2) As long as there are private companies wanting more funding through selling a portion of their equity, and Capital Markets to facilitate, there will always be exits.
(3) There was already a concession on the current normalized "VC" practice of pump and dump being drastically lowered. Anyone who is not Economically literate will still have a non-zero probability of buying the scheme and get rug pulled.
A company being "asset light" doesn't mean its analogous to POS Cryptos. The ownership is centralized though it doesn't mean that the company is POS or worthless, just means it shouldn't be used as a money analogue due to counterparty risk.
Company ownership is POW, stock splits or issuance of stocks are not the same as centralized cryptos issuing newly minted tokens; Cryptos are companies attempting to be digital banks. Compared to actual R&D, austerity, and meeting a market demand. Digital Banks are is not the same as a general company attempting to make a product or service at a profit.
Pre-IPO companies w/o revenue numbers and being propped up by low interest rate loans and hype marketing are POS. An "asset light" flower shop is not POS if its operating at a profit and not fraudulent.
(4) Centralization and POW Economies are not mutually exclusive. There seems to be a mix up on the difference between Govt intervention in the markets creating monopolies and a company of 1k employees being more efficient than smaller companies at certain things due to economies of scale.
Big this or Big that is only sustainable through Govt intervention, otherwise they'd go bust and assets get liquidated. Every company is centralized, and I have not seen a DAO that has worked.
I agree that the practice of "VC" is not performing as intended, and the market for those services will exist as long as there is a demand. As long as there are people who have a more than comfortable amount of savings, there will be a demand. Regardless of a Fiat or Bitcoin standard.
Bitcoin is a savings technology, and people won't have to preserve their purchasing power in Capital Markets. This does not negate the fact that there will still be a demand for Capital Markets.
I agree that Venture Capital as we know it today will not survive a BTC Standard.
That being said, there will always be people who make riskier than average investments for a higher return. You are right in saying there are not many investments that deliver >25% in annual returns, which is why many start-ups crash and burn.
That doesn't contradict that new companies that provide value to the market will tend to grow at a faster rate, in the early years, than well established companies. Percent growth is larger when starting from nothing. The concept of Venture Capitalism is not the same as the practice of pump and dump schemes.
If investors want to be risky and be a part owner in something speculative and doesn't have the cash flow to back it, let them. This is assuming accurate and truthful financial information is provided (not fraudulent).
Are you positing that with a BTC Standard there will no longer be investors with a preference for high risk? There will no longer be Investors and Entrepreneurs who want to create something the market didn't know they wanted?
A la Wikipedia:
"Fiat money is a type of currency that is not backed by a commodity, such as gold or silver. It is typically designated by the issuing government to be legal tender. Throughout history, fiat money was quite rare until the 20th century, but there were some situations where banks or governments stopped honoring redeemability of demand notes or credit notes, usually temporarily. In modern times, fiat money is generally authorized by government regulation."
Learning about the History of Economic Thought these last few years has been an eye opening experience, Austrian and Proto-Austrian Theory lifted the veil of Economic lies from my eyes.

Men and Women both want to subjectively believe they are "marrying up" but don't realize the relationship is collaborative as opposed to competitive. The married couple are suppose to grow together, recognizing they delegate tasks/skills/personality/resources to one another.
Marriage and love is about what somebody can selflessly give without an expectation of getting something in return, wanting what is best for the other. Truly wealthy partnerships are capable of this throughout the relationship.
This is in the hope to be greater as a unit and accomplish more together than what would be done separately.
