As I see so far (and I’ve read cashu.space just now, as you suggested), it seems to just be an open-source improvement over the traditional banking system, and if that’s the aim… it could genuinely be useful for that exact purpose: replacing the traditional transactional system with a privacy-oriented, modular system.
But I feel the people being *onboarded* with this system are going to be misled in to a false sense of security; what if the mint provider exits? What then will their opinion of Bitcoin be?
Sorry for the long wall, rather verbose, I'm just genuinely curious — as a user of Bitcoin since <2013, on what Cashu/eCash is intended for… I hate the idea of potentially onboarding someone in a way that LOOKS good, but practically, may harm them in the long run.
Yep… I recently tried Claude for the first time, it absolutely surprised me how inquisitive it feels, 3.5 Sonnet is incredibly good at “reasoning” and not getting stuck in ridiculous logic loops like OpenAI models seem to. 🤔
