Karl Marx believed that technology would free laborers from the constraints of capital by enabling them greater productivity with less work. That didn’t turn out to be the case. Capitalists controlled the technology, so they pocketed the value difference created by it, and just had laborers working for less money.

Centralization of technology was the catch. If Marx were writing today, I believe he would say the same but with the added call for decentralized technology which puts the power of tech into the hands of the masses Marx would be a raging Bitcoiner and Nostrich

We won’t get tired of it

Such as that mentioned by @Emanuel? Metadata2go

All thoughtful responses, thank you. People don’t seem shy about using nostr to share photos. I will study on controlling one’s exit information a bit. Is there a similar option for iOS devices?

The unprecedented rate of loss of biodiversity is a tragedy of our making.

I’m suspicious that when one posts a photo, they’re revealing some unintended metadata.

Can someone comment on that?

And get that flipping right 78 times and you’re still just stuck with a worthless fiat coin. Joke’s on you. Mine Bitcoin!

Stay off of exchanges. Bitcoin was created as a peer-to-peer electronic currency. Keep it that way.

A house is not an investment as long as a man has to pay for it twice.

A thirty year mortgage means a man buys the house once from the seller, and a second time from the bank.

Nostr is a death sentence to limited data plans

I would have liked to have asked Satoshi a bit more about this.

Intelligent machines replacing workers and creating a deflationary environment was supposed to be great, as it was expected that workers would be able to work less and buy more due to greater efficiency within the system.

In reality, those that leverage the capital never made those returns available to the workers, but extracted more profits for themselves while leaving the jobless destitute.

We’re terrified of public opinion from the moment we’re born, partially due to religious training, partially due to an educational system that is not very interested in educating us.

What, really, the rulers want are docile workers, who refuse to have anything to do say about minimum wage or labor unions, and passionate consumers…

“America’s Deadliest Export: Democracy. The Truth about US Foreign Policy and Everything Else.”

By William Blum

When they bombed Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, El Salvador and Nicaragua I said nothing because I wasn’t a communist.

When they bombed China, Guatemala, Indonesia, Cuba, and the Congo I said nothing because I didn’t know about it.

When they bombed Lebanon and Grenada I said nothing because I didn’t understand it.

When they bombed Panama I said nothing because I wasn’t a drug dealer.

When they bombed Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen I said nothing because I wasn’t a terrorist.

When they bombed Yugoslavia and Libya for ‘humanitarian’ reasons I said nothing because it sounded honorable.

Then they bombed my house and there was no one left to speak out for me. But it didn’t really matter. I was dead.

The US, once again selling xenophobia to the masses. Today’s victim: 1.5 billion people in a country on the other side of the world.

China is not a threat to the U.S. because of TicToc. Even as an economic threat, it has already won. China has stayed the course in becoming an industrialized, productive nation. The United States has given into neoconservatives who traded industrialization for finance capitalism and its associated passing around and reframing of dollars. Now we produce nothing, because rent extraction from citizens is easier and more profitable for the oligarchy.
