Maybe. It’s a complex issue. If I opened a coffee shop in downtown Seattle with a bevy of conservative propaganda around and my boots up on the counter, I probably wouldn’t expect a lot of business success. Business is about suiting your target demographic. If it isn’t working, change your approach. Example, Chicago in the 1800’s for displaced people from the recently “desegregated”South.

This guy died in 2023. Ketamine overdose. Found dead in his jacuzzi. Not a happy man. I don't feel this was properly discussed. Just a news headline and now nobody cares. Entertainers are like toilet paper. Used once and then disposed of.

I seee. Maybe I've accidentally got spam filtering relays, I have had to block spam accounts in the past for not for a long ol' while. Are you interested in bluesky? I think a certain part of me wants to stick on nostr cos it always feels on the brink of failure, and curiosity what someone will build next (maybe that also happens on mastodon and increasingly on bluesky?)

I'm seeing more of a difference with Threads. They kind of accept goofy uncle Zuckerberg but also want something else than what other social mediums have offered up so far. It's interesting to watch. You hear alternative voices there.

How so? I've never actually tried mastodon so no idea. But felt nostr was p hassle free, sign up at least, don't even have to have an email/email confirmation or nothing ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯. The rest is confusing, but I felt like I could sort of wing it lol

Nostr is interesting but there is less hassle with Mastodon, which is also kind of anarchist and contrarian. It's always a bit funny when people who are into very niche things disagree about which niche is the right one and get into arguments.

I did go to school to become a doctor for a while, but no, I’m not a doctor. I am very nerdy, I learn for entertainment, and try to wrestle complex concepts into practical applicable concepts for use by myself and others. I have a lot of free time at this stage in my life so I try to help where I can.

I would guess that a majority of the population equates an empty stomach with hunger, but hunger from a biological perspective is very different. The default state is no food processing, with fatty acid metabolism to maintain blood ketones and glucose levels. Very few people are hypoglycemic until insulin resistance causes their body to malfunction.
