It what’s the difference in putting your trust in an offline device and a hw wallet, that’s technically not online either right? Or, you don’t need the device you connect it to to be online when you do the business or use a camera on the device to do a PSTB?
LN will get the job done to a high degree (see LN factories), and maybe something with ARK thrown in the mix, or something else will. The main thing to never forget, is that, these layer2s are being built upon the rock that is Bitcoin, its decentralised pow network is the clear winner in terms of decentralization and resilience/security and network effects, by a clear in undisputed margin. All of there other higher TPS numbers are centralised, including solana et al. they can never climb out of that hole, they’re not sound money, they will never be - bitcoin is, done enough said, and then we build and innovate everything on top of it. That’s my take, but I’m still learning.

It's very good to be alive.
Many of us have Biblical names. It's not by accident. Many of us have learned through Bitcoin that monetary value is arbitrary at best.
The world has the same amount of money that it always has had. Bitcoin is merely a ledger and a tracking mechanism that is governed by math, energy and God. As long as we serve God all forms of money will work for us and we will never work for money.
Jesus paid a tax by allowing a disciple to find money in a fish's mouth. How much more Bitcoin will we find if we are in service of God and not in service of money?
