Oh, and on top of all that, they don't support BIP-86, according to their documentation:
I like the sounds of it, but when I tried to use it it told me I can't import a wallet which doesn't have a BIP-39 password. So I guess it's not an option for me.
Also, is there some reason they are not in the main FDroid store? Do they have some closed source code in there that disqualifies them? Do they have trackers like Green Wallet and are avoiding being caught by hosting thier own repo?
What's going on there? It seems sketchy and I didn't see any explanation on their site.

This is why I prefer apps that made it into F-Droid. If I was installing directly off their GitHub release page, I'd never know about things like this.
Indidn't realize how many of the #OpenSource #mobile #wallets still don't support #taproot. BlueWallet, Simple Bitcoin Wallet, Bitcoin wallet from https://wallet.schildbach.de/ ...
I didn't check Open Bitcoin Wallet because it's no longer maintained.
I didn't check Green Wallet because it includes trackers.
Unstoppable Wallet seems to be the only one that can see my taproot money.
Anyone have any others that are good enough to make it into FDroid?

Because of you I saw that BitAxes are manufactured about 3 hours away from where I live and that I can just buy one that's ready to go for $235.
Maybe I'll look up a miner difficulty calculator and see what it says. But for now, it's gardening time!
Rosemary sure takes a while to dry! I'm used to gree onions, basil, and chives which all dry in like a day or two.

Probably because it's so expensive and nuclear fuel has such tight access controls. It's only militaries that use nuclear powered subs (and possibly ships as well?) The idea that a ship could be taken over to obtain materials to build more nukes isn't one that the superpowers are keen on.
Also, ships tend to sink sometimes and having radioactive material at unpredictable places is probably not good.
Some people say things like electric vehicles aren't feasible. In addition to all the EVs that have been on the road for years, we now have electric powered ships that can cross the ocean to add to the evidence that their theory isn't looking so hot.

Hey nostr:npub14slk4lshtylkrqg9z0dvng09gn58h88frvnax7uga3v0h25szj4qzjt5d6
Have you been publishing things to simplifiedprivacy.to/feed ? I've been subscribed for a while now and haven't seen anything come through. Thunderbird seems to be checking for new stuff, and there aren't any errors, just nothing new is showing up.
I don't think so. In theory the secure element should rate limit attempts to mitigate a brute force attack.
I've heard there are plans for a duress pin that will wipe the device instead of unlocking it.
There's also Ripple, which is a panic button that will notify other apps to take some action such as locking, logging out, deleting all their data, and I think even uninstalling themselves.
Finally, there's the automatic reboot, which will remove the decryption keys from memory to mitigate attacks such as "steal someone's phone, make sure it can't grey updates and then wait for a vulnerability to be announced so you can exploit it to gain access."
None of these are specifically what you are asking for, but they might be something that you can use to address your concerns some other way.
yegorpetrov is one of the realest accounts on nostr. They're not talking about cool shit, they're doing it and then talking around the real world problems that still need to be solved.
Nostr needs more people following their lead.
If we didn't have inflation, when someome got an idea for a cool new thing, they wouldn't be able to build it because there's literally no money left to go around. Every unit of money is already allocated to something.
If someone were to invest their savings (which it's questionable ifnsavings would even exist in the same way we think of it now simce there's not enough money to go around, but just putting that aside for a moment...), there couldn't be any return on investment because there's no additional money.
In terms of buting power, people are poorer in a deflationary economy.
These are the argument I heard earlier tonight. Can someone point me to succinct counterarguments? Importantly, something that doesn't require studying economics for years, but something I could just casually mention in a pub in 60 seconds and get the point across to a normal person. Ideally 160 characters or less! 🔥
Does this mean I should start building open source, meshtastic compatible, LoRa devices for people?
Um, Mastodon isn't centralized. Maybe you're thinking of Facebook?
I think you mean "meshtastic radio boards". Mesh radio boards are plentiful. You can make a mesh radio network out of raspberry pi boards.
Here's the code to do it:
People think the next big milestone is a new ATH in USD. Fair.
Then $100,000. Maybe.
But the biggest milestone will be when people are saying things like "40K sats/hour is a livable wage." I think were a long way off from that being common.
No, I see far more typos here than on Mastodon (which has the ability to edit posts).
