You can grow your own saffron. I don't have any planted yet, but it is on the list!
I'm pretty sure OnlyKey is closed source hardware. I only see the client and firmware in the list of repos for trustcrypto on github.
Other than that, it's very similar though.
Every day I get questions about the #privacy #security tools I use...so I figured it'd be easier to just showcase my 10 favorite daily tools! My strat for picking the 10 were 'how pissed would I be if someone took it away from me'...enjoy!

Think I could convince you to give #Signet a try?
It's a hardware password manager with a client that works on Linux, macOS and Windows. Since it's hardware, there's no need to sync data between computers. There's also a Firefox addon for people who dig the browser extension thing.
Everything is 100% open source. Maintained by yours truly.
That's a millenial answer right there. I mean, you're not wrong. Just a correct answer from another generation. Love it.

Pound for found, it costs more than gold.
What is it?
Alby has been making some pretty bold claims about making it easy to self-custody with lightning in a manmer where you don't have to manually launch your wallet app every 24 hours (like Zeus).
I'm going to put those to the test after my full node gets done syncing. We'll see if it meets the hype (without paying them to run your node). Stay tuned.
I thought that a few years ago some radio researchers had reverse engineered LoRa, or maybe had constructed grc-LoRa? A quick search showed this:

Not sure if that was sort of what you were after?

If you want to save money, don't become a #farmer. They get paid crap. You'd be better off getting a traditional job and buying food.
But if you want to be #SelfSufficient, you must grow your own food. At least some of it. And you should trade with neighbors.

And I'm willing to help explain and better document the existing code if someone wants to take this on. I mean, half the point of open source is to let people do crazy unexpected things with your code. π
As someone who has forked and started maintaining repos because the author abandoned them... I totally understand this sentiment
Yeah, I've heard that too, but I've done bandwidth testing on that network and it has about 900-950Mb of bandwidth to spare.
I'm not trying to get 1Tb/second or anything crazy like that. I'm just frustrated at getting less than 1MB/second.
If someone wants to modify the #Signet firmware, it already stores keys/passwords/secrets in hardware. It's all #OpenSource. No permission needed to make the change.
I did it for the live migration capabilities. Probably overbuilt, but live and learn. It wasn't fast enough without the SSD DB devices. But then again, I feel that it's still ot fast enough, so π€·
Separate 1Gb net for ceph backend
No RDMA. I have too many security concerns to enable that.
