Been hooked on to this book and it’s eating into my sleep hours. Iceland has always been a country I’ve wanted to visit - though never got past the Viking sagas on movies - too bloody - one series#[0] spoke abt recently got me to pick this book up. It’s heavy on history, but light and easy and fun to read, takes you on a journey. Iceland history is super interesting and vikings with their brute and roughness is more romanticised here than in the movies (maybe because there is no bloody scenes?). I don’t know if there is a Nostr book club but if anyone wants to pick a book up, and exchange thoughts, this is a great one (I should be done in a week)
