burritos have unknown origins but they’re definitely not easily found in méxico. they’re mostly texmex, and if they’re found in mx, they’re found in the northern regions (which are heavily americanized).

PLUS, flour tortillas aren’t originally mexican 🫢 they were created by french immigrants as an alternative to corn tortillas. they thought corn tortillas were ‘less’ since they were consumed by indigenous people.
