Fix the money.

Airgapped coldcard and sparrow are the givens.

The question is whether there are clear negative tradeoffs to using windows in this scenario over Mac or Linux.

Convincing someone to go buy a Mac instead of using what they already have is the predicament I’m in. I don’t think that’s gonna cut it.

Can somebody give me some concrete reasons why you shouldn’t use Windows OS for interacting with your primary cold storage funds?

Alright nostr fam, I’m gonna give this a shot.

My uncle is from Lebanon. He has NOT been exposed financially to the craziness going on over there recently, but it has been tough for him to watch from afar.

He is intellectually interested in bitcoin, but he hasn’t built up enough conviction to buy any.

He’s in his mid 60s, no kids, hoping to retire soon. Aside from the very warranted trust issues he has with currencies other than the USD, his main hurdle is he doesn’t think he will live long enough to realize the benefits of holding bitcoin. Let’s change his mind shall we?

That first QR code is an on-chain address from Muun wallet. I sent him 35k sats already. Here it is in text form:

bc1qyyl8jc22wvwjxydr2flmq2a7j0t3tkngglrudhrcuvrasg3h0pjswltqh8

I also had him download wallet of satoshi. Here’s that static address.

gradualsweater64@walletofsatoshi.com

Don’t worry I’ll eventually set him up with some more sovereignty-focused tools, but let’s orange pill the sh*t out of him first!

Love you all. #bitcoin

Coworker: “Eric you should check out this thing called Arbitrum. It’s a secure scaling solution for Ethereum.”

Me:

7 ish degC outside, 20 degC inside even with windows open. For obvious reasons.

That time of year where I’m the only house in my neighborhood with windows open in 45 degree weather 😏

What hotel is the bitcoiner hub in Miami in May?

Closing in pretty hard on 400 EH/s
