What states don’t tax outbound business payments? Those will be from where lots of payments are made into Montana via ₿itcoin. The next in line for orange pilling.

Next one later this month probs. Guessing you’re passing through?

If you head west, I run Shenandoah ₿Itcoin Club out in the mountains.

In hotel without a squatty potty.

Just use the trashcan! Might not be comfortable but will get your legs up for that smooth 💩 experience.

Works in church bathrooms and other public places as well.

Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.

One day I'll find a dev friend that's local and is a bitcoiner and we're going to write code collaboratively in person and it'll be great.

Shenandoah ₿Itcoin Club this weekend if you’re still around. Just 1.5hr west of DC. Brunch.

The Creature from Jekyll Island

Chapter 1

SUMMARY

The basic plan for the Federal Reserve System was drafted at a secret meeting held in November of 1910 at the private resort of J.P.

Morgan on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia. Those who attended represented the great financial institutions of Wall Street and, indirectly, Europe as well. The reason for secrecy was simple.

Had it been known that rival factions of the banking community had joined together, the public would have been alerted to the possibility that the bankers were plotting an agreement in restraint of trade--which, of course, is exactly what they were doing. What emerged was a cartel agreement with five objectives: stop the growing competition from the nation's newer banks; obtain a franchise to create money out of nothing for the purpose of lending; get control of the reserves of all banks so that the more reckless ones would not be exposed to currency drains and bank runs; get the taxpayer to pick up the cartel's inevitable losses; and convince Congress that the purpose was to protect the public. It was realized that the bankers would have to become partners with the politi-cans and that the structure of the cartel would have to be a central bank. The record shows that the Fed has failed to achieve its stated objectives. That is because those were never its true goals. As a banking cartel, and in terms of the five obiectives stated above, it has been an unqualified success.

Social media was just the first obvious thing that nostr could be used for. Entrenched social media is hard to break away from due to network effects. As more nostr enabled apps expand and become more robust. The users will come back. When I can use one client across multiple use cases, the value will be greater than traditional social media. Zaps is good but needs expanding to other things aside from social media to gain more traction.

A grenade won’t level your house. And she can’t take your ₿itcoin. All is well.

Fedimint is really good for this. Links on the GitHub:

Somewhat inconveniently, RGB only does calls on Jitsi but the Telegram is active. DIBA has a Discord, but we never really use it. I prefer when we do Twitter Spaces, but we don't really do external-facing dev calls.

I was listening in to Fedimint when I noted this. 😅
