Why are we here in this reality with little memory of who we are & where we've come from? Why did we agree to this experience, if not for expansion & growth?

I think the role of our mind & ego is to perceive & experience this realm. To discover it's unique rules & constraints while experiencing everything that is possible. Surrendering our body & mind to the will of our higher self looks to be the best way to maximise this.

The best way I've heard this expressed is: *The higher self conceives, the body receives & the mind consciousness perceives.*

It feels like driving a vehicle with no particular destination in mind. Our hands are on the steering wheel but they're not gripping it too tightly. We receive guidance in the form of excitement to take a turn. Even though we don't know where the road leads, we head down it anyway & ignore the fear of uncertainty that our ego expresses. We accept the experiences that arise from this path even while discerning our preferences for future journeys.
