Pfoeh.. it’ll take a minute but on a long time horizon it sounds inevitable. Curious to see how quickly they will execute.

Very nice experience with p2p trading. Have been using it for a few months and I structurally get ~2.5% lower prices than spot. Using Binance in latam since nostr:nprofile1qqsvn0dkjt80raqrxd470c98n7zrdehmcvj6p5hgw3kyku6zyd8z0fqpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmchn9kjp hasn’t hooked up the banks yet.

I have two particular monkeys in my brain:

NGU monkey - “yees, the price is up. We’re making a profit!”

Stacking monkey - “nooo, the price is up. And why are you happy? Are you done stacking or something?”

Curious to see how the crypto/bitcoin reserve pans out. Personally I would announce a bitcoin only reserve as a crypto reserve as well. Effective smokescreen that clears when you finally include Bitcoin exclusively. Might even be useful to say you include the others as well, and just but far less of them.

Couldn’t imagine Trump outright announcing a Bitcoin reserve. He might as well ask the world to front run the US. Much more at play but it would be quite smart to keep the world guessing whether you’re orange pilled or not.

Yea me too. Been weighing the options but made the decision to move to family in Colombia for the foreseeable future. We were always going to leave before the first kid turns five because homeschooling is illegal. But this general downward trend doesn’t seem to be buckling and no sign of corrections. Too risky to wait much longer. Still feels like moving towards something than away from something but still. Strange times.

Yea that’s what mine says also. Just that I’m from the EU and we have fictitious gains tax on all assets, every year 🤡

Advise needed - a US citizen wants to pay back a loan to a Colombian citizen. He wants to buy BTC in the US and immediately transfer it. If there is no capital gain, is there still fictitious capital gain tax levied or some other tax? #asknostr #btc

Maybe cheap, but if it’s free I’m afraid to become the product. And that would be the worst outcome. In that case I would even prefer it be expensive 😂. As long as it’s MY AI.

Yea in that sense there have been so many blow ups or commercial services that a strong immune response is appropriate. But if its someone like a bitcoin advisor charging a couple grand for a handheld service I don’t get it. Let them try find a market for it, and if they can, great!

Many people believe to find a lot of sense in this nonsense term unfortunately. Although I also don’t have a better way to shorthand it either

Who is keeping a transcription database of the podcasts they listen to? Any favorite ways to set it up for llm queries?

AI alignment as a term assumes you want a single centralized direction to align on. The analogy to society came to me yesterday. Think about it - history (and present) are littered with examples of how it is to live under ‘alignment’ and what happens when you coordinate by free markets and individuals. It seems obvious to me the discussion starts at how do we and the AI learn to coordinate together. Centralized alignment is a potential method to do this, not the start of the discussion.

To do this users should get as much control over their own AI’s as possible. Choice in models, data selection, insight into prompts and every option you can think of. We do not want these AI amplifiers aligned by some random set of committees.

Great! Make sure you have control over the prompts and don’t use the built-in summarization tools from fireflies or equivalents.

Can someone explain why some Bitcoiners complain so much about commercial offers and services for bitcoin? For people that value freedom money, they seem to be pretty anti-entrepreneurship and anti free market in this regard. Even if it’s unconscious. What am I missing?
