Hello, I do make holes with an awl to sew through on the signatures and for this book on the cover paper along the spine. I use a waxed linen thread to bind everything together. Sewing without pre punching holes seems difficult to me! This particular book will use long stitch binding method to attach the signatures to the cover paper 🙂

Cool windy bike ride to foster beach today, head wind north, an excellent tail wind back. Waves were crashing, a reminder of how powerful water can be. Found a new favorite dry cider 
Love it, but also love my sometimes broken public transit system here. If I leave, I'd move to a small city where I could hopefully bike year round, id also need to get a car for longer journeys. Sadly I thought a place like Asheville would be perfect for me and my love for the outdoors and hiking, I don't think I'd move there now after everything that's occured in the past week
