Pregnancy in America is starting to feel like a crime. The ripple effects of the fall of Roe extend far beyond abortion. Imagine you’re eight months pregnant, and you wake up in the middle of the night to a bolt of pain across your belly. Terrified you might be losing your pregnancy, you rush to the emergency room — only to be told that no one there will care for you, because they’re worried they could be accused of participating in an abortion. The staff tells you to drive to another hospital, but that will take hours, by which time, it might be too late.

Report: Facebook Approved Hate Speech Calling for Ethnic Violence in Kenya. Facebook-Instagram algorithms have a history of amplifying ethnic and political violence because per whistleblowers this makes Facebook-Instagram more money. Despite promising to change their algorithms to stop promoting ethnic and political violence there is no long term objective evidence that this has happened. Congress should mandate that users have the option to turn off all Facebook-Instagram algorithms to protect American citizens and the world.

Facebook Tried to Make Its Platform a Healthier Place. It Got Angrier Instead. Internal memos show how a big 2018 change rewarded outrage and that the CEO resisted proposed fixes. Although Facebook-Instagram keeps promising to change, long term their algorithms have kept amplifying polarizing misinformation to American voters because per whistleblowers this makes Facebook-Instagram more money. Congress should investigate Facebook-Instagram for election fraud.

But across the U.S., including in swing states, persistent record high costs have bumped it to a front-burner issue for many voters, in a presidential campaign where affordability in general is a major theme.

Facebook-Instagram whistleblower Katie Harbath says intervention from governments and tech companies is urgently needed to avoid political violence incubating in the future. Facebook-Instagram algorithms have a history of amplifying violence and genocides. Although Facebook-Instagram keeps promising to change their algorithms there seems to have been no meaningful long term changes per former employees. Facebook-Instagram should give people globally the option to turn algorithms off.

Older women are being significantly shortchanged by medical research. Men have in the past been the focus of more health studies, leaving unanswered questions about women and cancer, Alzheimer’s and other diseases and the related medications.
The impact of Dobbs being overturned, which on paper gave states the right to decide their own rules on abortion, has spiraled into all-out bans and attempted restrictions on everything from fertility treatment to birth control and miscarriage management. Advocates and labor unions have planned protests to demonstrate that women in the workforce matter and workers rights are reproductive rights.
Facebook-Instagram whistleblower Jeffrey Smith alleges that Facebook-Instagram was covering up the sexist treatment of female employees while hiring and promoting less qualified men instead of more qualified women for the same roles.
