Today, I got ~300K sats worth of fiat from a friend I helped translating his inde game. It's not much, at least for the size the job, but it was a favor. Plus, I actually enjoyed doing something different from the daily fiat mine work.
That got me thinking, I wouldn't mind doing this kind of work for sats instead of fiat. So, if you have some software/app/game you want translated to Spanish and you can't/don't want to pay the ridiculous prices of an "official translator", and/or you only want to pay sats for the job, drop me a DM and we can have a chat about it.

These fees spikes on a bear it's a bit disturbing. Imagine how bad it can get when there's a full bull and everyone and their mom is FOMOing in.
It helps that an old laptop fell into my lap and had nothing better to do with it at the moment. I didn't want to unplug my current node without having another one connected already
I finally decided to run a LN node. I had a running pruned node, so started a fresh one without pruning. In the time it's been synchronizing fees have gone parabolic.
I'll have to let the hype pass before I can afford to open a channel lol.

They still group withdrawals into big ass transactions with multiple outputs, so even like that, it won't hurt them as much. With the model you describe they'll feel it more than other exchanges, for sure, but the spread of a single big buy probably pays many times the fee.
Honest take:
I don't dive a flying ostrich if people want to put dick pics on their sats and/or trade their new "special sats" at 300 sats per sat. Nor I care about them paying 500x fees to do all that. When all the clownery dies off, #bitcoin will still be there, block after block.
I did some 1 sat/vB transactions when the hype of the first wave of #incriptions faded, and most likely I'll do them again when this wave passes. If I have to wait for some time before moving anything on the L1, so be it.
Will they pay more fee though?
They just move numbers on their inner books. And when you withdraw, they either charge you the fee or they won't change it because they were already charging you 10 times the "normal" fee as a flat fee.
And to think last month I did a couple 1 sat/vB transactions...
Time to sit back and wait until it cools down
