I am so happy to start seeing the positive impact of my work in my local community. Brazil must become a global model for the inclusion of women in Bitcoin, women developers in Bitcoin FOSS development, and women beginner developers in the broader Bitcoin technical communities where learning occurs. I will accept nothing less.
It’s ironic to experience the cruelest forms of oppression while pursuing Bitcoin development and education. Sometimes I wonder if it’s just an extinction burst—a desperate surge of resistance from a system on the brink of collapse—or if there’s a deeper message. Either way, it only strengthens my resolve to keep building, so future generations of women don’t have to endure what I do, and Bitcoin can fulfill its whole potential.
The X platform has always been a hub for academics and scientists to keep each other informed—ever since I was in college and grad school, and later with Bitcoin. Entire careers are at stake for too many of us. Worse yet, I doubt that this measure will help extinguish the gangs and organized hate groups we have in Brazil. It might even make them stronger.
Free women don't ask permission. Free men are supportive of that.
We need to move beyond the clubhouse—the exclusion of women in Bitcoin and freedom tech ecosystem development—and start implementing powered-by-Bitcoin transformative initiatives for young children and women. Bitcoin development needs to be sorted out already. Society needs fixing, and we don't have time to babysit these infantile, dangerous ideas that could render the entire system unusable.
Just like in early childhood development, the technical and social mistakes we make now will carry on forever.
Twisting open-source software, Creative Commons works, public domain resources, or other forms of free knowledge into proprietary products or patents—especially when these could help advance human freedom more rapidly—only to enforce restrictive licenses and live off lawsuits, undermines the integrity of open collaboration.
Such practices exploit the freedom meant for everyone to profit off a few, betraying the principles that open-source is built upon. I firmly stand against this. #FreeFOSS
Toddlers and nature. Life can't get better than this. May the next generations of Bitcoin FOSS developers truly care about the wellbeing, autonomy, and freedom of women and children in the new society we are trying to build.
And if we have social media tools at hand, it is our duty and obligation to yap society into freedom by persistently speaking the truth.
The Brazilian red pills have taken over Nostr and are gaining support from the global Bitcoin developer community. It seems as though there's a shared agreement on a disturbing plan to enslave women to satisfy their orange-pilled fantasies. Their confidence in their bigotry at home is alarming. Bitcoin's potential as a funding tool for just about any endeavor is endless, which makes this situation all the more concerning.

It is time for humanity to accept that, censorship-resistant or not, social media sucks.
Brazil was on its way to opening markets. But if the pro-freedom far-right crowd had at least behaved decently (no genocide, no misogyny, etc.), maybe we wouldn’t have lost the elections to a complete shutdown. The same goes for Bitcoin adoption and development. We could be much more advanced if the gatekeepers and earlier comers had even a minimal sense of humanity. Also, please do not assume you understand Brazilian politics if you are not Brazilian.
As the number of women holding private keys grows, so does the level of freedom for the entire humankind.
If they notice you're a woman, they won't zap you as hard or they won't zap you at all. End female slavery.
