Humanity will only unlock its next level of prosperity when it stops enslaving the other half (women).
If Bitcoin is to fulfill its promises, it is time to address the black market of misogynist products and propaganda that is currently powering the modern wave of Bitcoin's spread and development, both directly and indirectly.
This prophecy is brought to you by a visionary biologist. Not once have my predictions been wrong. Enjoy your newfound vision.

Precisely. It is their right to not want the presence of women in their Bitcoin technical environments and communities, even if it sometimes brings consequences to meatspace, violating the principles of non-aggression and respect for women's private property. There are places where people with my profile can find peace—just not in certain communities that are, unfortunately, very important for Bitcoin development, which by design deprives us of free access to information. I just wanted to stay longer and become a frequent user of the platform, but it won't be possible. The toll of discrimination hinders my intellectual output, which is the most valuable asset I have to give back to Bitcoin. Thank you for exercising your free speech. I respect and appreciate it. It was nice to lurk and learn while it lasted. I like that this is permaware. For good or bad, the truth is permanent. If I ever need to return and leave an important message, I can, and that matters most. Kind regards from Brazil. Enjoy your freedom.
It is nice that you are having a positive experience and clearly feel safe. The Brazilian organized hate group against women and against feminism in Bitcoin development started to chase and harass women here as well. Freedom was great while it lasted.
Now that I entered your key that I saw. You are a member of the organized hate group against women and against feminism in Bitcoin. I knew you were coming to ruin Nostr as well. Freedom was nice while it lasted.

We'll no longer be able to listen to the nostr:npub1hkuk45c6c6h3y0rks0z4wa0wyyud5ru0qy0rn9x4dgnjwrnfy46s5a432p—Bitcoin Optech Newsletter Recap live as it happens. This is the most significant loss for Brazilians.
Brazil has a lot of internal work to do. What we are going through now is a consequence of decisions and cultural buildup over the last 10 years. Bitcoin and freedom tech should have a much larger reach at this point, but the early communities of builders screwed everything up with their first-mover, inner-circle, and male supremacy fetishes. We need to flash mob to bring women into open-source development. This is a cyberwar. Their dreams of gaining from early-acquired Bitcoin are futile compared to the size of the challenge we have ahead of us. Women-led projects in Bitcoin development, like Scalar School — nostr:npub1v799vkkxjasjtjcrr4wh2ral5vcklqhg0tyyvc6gvfe5qfrd57mqutqrup — are more important than ever. We need more of these efforts and greater moral support from the broader community to help us address our social problems in this field.
Oi Jack nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m! Tudo bem? We have red pills and dictators, and women are not welcome in the trenches of Bitcoin FOSS development locally. Wanna trade? You stay here fixing this mess and I'll go build our freedom on behalf of us. https://biohazel.github.io
Boa noite, conterrâneo. Fez bem de ter saído daqui. Vão querer aterrorizar nosso uso do protocolo quando descobrirem.
Voice User Interface. Not a silver bullet for accessibility, but having this option can greatly improve the user experience. Even rule-based chatbots are worth testing out.
Filtering. I would prefer to focus exclusively on technical and development content. No politics, no cynic jokes, no mayhem, no grandstanding. I don't want to question for a moment whether I'm on X or Nostr. Sadly, so far, the content on both feels the same.
Social media censorship in Brazil is growing to unbelievable levels. We are no longer the last paradise on Earth. Freedom technologies are more important than ever.
Cheap dopamine. Sickening jokes. Organized hate groups. Inner-circle fetishes. Cynic memes. Be it on Nostr or outside of it, humanity is learning a hard lesson. Those who use the bureaucratic tools of the great system to make a statement and harm others will learn the lesson twice. I don't make the rules.
I’ve encountered firmware/driver integration issues with various distros, except for Ubuntu. Given my focus on efficiency and minimizing downtime, Ubuntu remains my go-to choice, at least on my X1 ThinkPad. Time spent on troubleshooting is time lost from more critical development tasks. When you’ve mastered your craft, any distro should suffice, but you choose the tools that let you stay at the top of your game. Trying to look smart might cost you money.
2024 is the most challenging year of my professional life. I am a passionate advocate and promoter of the Bitcoin FOSS development world. However, we are witnessing a bad-faith co-option of the open-source ethos. For those who are investing, there is a belief that we have to listen to the community, or to the voices of the majority, no matter what.
In the trenches of the Global South and in some international spaces for beginners, however, such communities, often led by men with an agenda to exclude women in various ways, are exploiting this mindset to synchronize ostracism motions against perfectly capable individuals, especially if they are women. The idea is to keep their groups tight and unscalable, guaranteeing a first-mover advantage for as long as possible.
In Brazil, we have a large, organized hate group that has, over the years, recruited developers interested in Bitcoin technology. They've reached a level of organization that is beyond what the average bystander or a foreign individual or institution might suspect.
Their impact is not mild. Although they are able to deliver in technical circles, they do so at the expense of exploiting an entire local population. Most beginners who try to approach them perceive Bitcoin as a hostile field, which is why we are taking so long to gain the traction we should be gaining in Brazil.
On the other hand, they are lovely and perfect when they have a higher interest, such as in the elite development circles. The exploitation is of those below them and is beyond suspect. As a result, the community is growing in a single direction, benefiting the protection and rise of people who align with the group's ideologies and supremacist agendas.
It is easy to verify for yourselves. There is only one group monopolizing Bitcoin development in Brazil. If you search, you'll find them. They have a few women who agree with their agenda and work along with them, bringing out the illusion of inclusion to the rest of the world.
I've been working tirelessly to document and prove what is happening, making a case that it is bad for Bitcoin and could ultimately lead to its ruin. I am risking my life and legal health, grabbing the bull by the horns, all on behalf of women and people who actually need Bitcoin throughout the world.
When I enter FOSS servers, I can identify: bad actor, bad actor, bad actor. All from my real-life experiences participating in their communities. They have a loathsome agenda against women and anyone who doesn't join their bullying practices—their echo chambers of anti-woke and anti-feminist rhetoric. It is a very toxic culture. Given their level of organization, they operate in their best behavior in public servers. But I am aware of the covert power they wield to undermine communities in the long run.
As the first and only person with the courage to fight against this, I feel helpless and forsaken. I believe that the sponsors of Bitcoin FOSS development need code. They need Bitcoin developed, period. They need headcounts of users no matter the underlying strategies. They don't seem to have the bandwidth to fully support me and join me in this fight because that would mean finding themselves in a difficult position with some of the best developers we have.
This is a sad and cognitively dissonant fate for Bitcoin at the moment. Sometimes I lie in the depths of despair, thinking that I won't be able to fix it in time. Sometimes I find myself subpoenaed to testify in court over Bitcoin's social and technical failures. Yet my urge to save Satoshi is larger than myself, and that inspires me to keep doing the hardest jobs.
The data is still vulnerable to a "rubber hose attack" where the owner is coerced into revealing the hidden keys. Protection against rubber hose attacks might require some form of Shamir secret sharing which splits the keys between diverse phgsical sites.

Rubber hose attack is the original name for the wrench attack I was taught on the internet.
