UI for account creation flow, apps missing to update a users contact list shouldn't render the generated key useless on every other app.
Definitely having private chat + group chat functionality with zero metadata leakage. Can't wait to get rid of all these other walled chat apps!

Tough question, as I'd like to see some improvements on the client side (Primal desktop for me) but those aren't really "Nostr" improvements...
If I could ask for one thing, maybe documentation on relay selection and optimization -- that's still a black box for me...(just feel like I'm throwing darts).

Right now I’d just fix bugs that already exist in the clients I use so they work smoothly. Then think about stretch goals.
Content creation in app. In Instagram, I can take a picture or video and post without leaving the app.
Easier gifs would be cool but I’m probably more interested in simpler nsec protection.
nsecbunker is a great concept but not yet streamlined/simple for the masses. Being able to practice #safensecs would allow for more experimentation across multiple/new clients and services while reducing risk of exposure, unlocking the broader potential of #nostr
Zap budgets where I tap zap button all week but sats aren’t sent until end of period and divided evenly by my allowance for said period. I hate when I run out of sats before payday and there’s so many more notes that need zapping.
When I like, repost, or zap a post…that the post retains (at least visually) that i interacted with one/all of those buttons.
Separate replies from root posts. Currently both use the same kind number which is why requests are wasteful.
Filtering. I would prefer to focus exclusively on technical and development content. No politics, no cynic jokes, no mayhem, no grandstanding. I don't want to question for a moment whether I'm on X or Nostr. Sadly, so far, the content on both feels the same.

feels like this can be a huge strength of nostr to really make this configurable by the user
at a minimum i'd like to be able to directly add an npub to a feed or list without going via listr.lol or something
can imagine doing that with more sophisticated searches / filters

I often bookmark notes that I want to come back to or view later, only to find that they are not in my bookmarks when I return.

I choose for example: friends, friends of friends (up to i.e: 200), shows most interacted with notes first. Done.
