In one multiverse the Kings go on a Cinderella run and defy all odds to win the title. This is how they do it.
Play in Game 1: Steph is hounded by Keegan, Keon and Davion all game. Scores 25 points on 30 shots. Kings get an early 10 point lead and hold it most of the way
Play in game 2: Pelicans finally beat LA after Davis misses their first game with his back issues. Sabonis continues to dominate AD in this one. After being down 27 in Q3 LeBron fakes an injury, quits the Lakers and goes back to Cleveland for a swan-song tour.
Rd1 vs OKC. OKC wins game 1 but then Sabonis and Len realize they’re the biggest people on the floor and Kings feast inside. Shai doesn’t get his usual soft whistle and gets ejected for complaining in game 4. OKC then rally in game 5, but Kings win in 6.
Rd2. Clips beat Mavs by shutting down Luka and raining 3s. Monk comes back. Game 1 goes to 4OT, clips win 192-191 on a Kings missed free throw. But they are wrecked from the effort. Kings win next 3. PG hurts himself and Kawahi carries team in game 5 but Harden goes 1-18 from 3 in game 6. Kings win.
Rd3. Denver’s cruised past the Suns but have a dog fight vs Minnesota. They win in 7 but Jamal Murray sprains his ankle on a McDaniels reckless close out, out for 2-4 weeks. Kings take advantage of poor Denver guard play. Fox averages 30-5-5 + 4 steals. Kings win in 7 on a Sabonis to Monk alley oops after a Fox steal.
Finals: Boston has cruised through the East winning everything in 4 or 5 games, they go in knowing they’ve got the title in the bag. Kings blitz game 1 135-105 as Boston chuck and miss a lot of contested 3s. Boston win game 2 after a no call as Porzingis elbows Sabonis in the face 112-110. Keegan makes 15 threes in game 3. Monk and Sabonis PnR carry game 4. Boston win another close one in game 5. But find themselves ice cold at the start of game 6. Panicking, they continue to rush and chuck threes, ending up going 8-45 for the game. Kings win behind Fox. He gets FMVP.

You answered your own question. Lighting, custodians, fedminits, stuff not yet invented is what will happen when it’s $100 equivalent per transaction.
Normal people already hold checking, savings, credit cards, brokerages, HSA, Venmo, etc accounts. In the future they could mix a custodian lighting wallet for checking, a custodian L1 / Fedimint / whatever for short term savings, and cold storage self custody for retirement. 1 solution should not meet all of these needs as they are different.
Necessity breeds invention. Bitcoin already transacts as much as Fedwire and its open nature means it should be easier to verify your funds with a custodian than the current black box of fractional reserve banking. Not saying it shouldn’t ever change, but the barriers being so high is a good thing. It means there needs to be a real problem to solve instead of hypotheticals in the future.
More transactions per block means less fees per transaction because of supply and demand. Miner total revenue depends on the slope of supply and demand curves and could decrease with big blocks. Luxury good manufacturers intentionally limit supply because it increases their total revenue for example.
Not to mention all of the other centralization problems that come with big blocks as @LynAlden has explained repeatedly.
Glad the block size war was lost but people like this take a long time to change.
