Move into a neighbourhood full of politicians? No thanks. Firstly, I can't afford that secondly, I wouldn't want to look at their smarmy faces.

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe it's for the best 🤔. I might feel better, my bestie would have to put up with my drama way more 😅

You alright, buddy? You seem a bit down today. Feel free to DM me if you need an ear, just know I know nothing about dev stuff so if there's a dev problem bothering you, maybe find a friend who can understand the frustration.

Toby (my cat) is 9 and still waking me at 4:45 almost to the dot daily.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. I don't watch many movies where English is spoken. I had to reach back to my childhood 😊

I only have one semester of university left, so I've spent the last few hours contemplating what I should do from July this year. I'm seriously contemplating a double masters (International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies) this way I can do an internship and write my thesis... Just shoot me now.

“Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”

There was a book I read a while back that classed bureaucracy as a form of power over others, like information or relative strength. I haven't seen it as neutral since.

Sounds like you just described more than a few non-communist states too 🤔

But yeah, I listened to the "what we saw" podcast a few years ago and it seems to reach high positions in a communist state you really need to be a heartless turd of a person and when the next one capable of being more cruel comes along.... They steal your high position from you.

No he broke her trust and she still needed a place to stay.

My mum used to take boarders. One day she discovered that a male boarder had brought his homeless girlfriend into our house to live without mum realising. His habit of making food and taking it to his room and never leaving his room to socialise suddenly made sense. Anyway, mum kicked the male out and kept his girlfriend as a boarder til she found a place and moved on. 🤣

I ate knowingly ate frogs in West Africa (hubby ate lizard there too), water snails in Vietnam and jellyfish in Myanmar. I've no doubt eaten some other suspicious meats in my travels but I prefer not to think of them.

Haha yup. Not that I ever had profiles with most of the other platforms. I think there's a steep learning curve here or at least it felt like it when I joined in May. It probably keeps the insincere people at bay.

I'm so not technical, so I can't say why it would be. Did something change in nostr land so I can see more people? Am I accessing more relays (whatever they are), or are there genuinely people interested in freedom tech, new frontiers or adopting new tech early and making their presence felt suddenly arriving? I don't care but I like it. Nostr feels a little more homely.

I've noticed a new influx of nostriches making their mark here. I don't know if they are actually new or if I'm suddenly seeing more names, so I don't know why I suddenly see their stuff, but I approve.
