Ok nostr im moving from 100,000 followers on TikTok to 3 followers on nostr. Im also moving my operations to nostr.
Im doing this because you can:
A) instantly launch nostr on TikTok with npubs
B) instantly launch my education service using DIDs
So I don’t lose much by adding the extra click. My followers get to learn by being exposed to hard working and honest engineers, creators and entrepreneurs.
Secondly, I enjoyed my time on nostr when I was using my public identity. I missed how the internet used to be, where it was people interacting with people rather than influencers getting followers to react to things. That’s how I want to spend my time. I’ve become a better engineer since joining nostr.
I have maybe like 120,000 people following me across social media and it almost always feels impossible to get anyone interested in anything I’m doing unless I aggressively promote it.
I’m tired of being an influencer. I just wish I was around folks who shared similar temperaments I do.
A desire to creat, share and appreciate the work of others.
I'm gonna try something crazy. If you change the incentive, you change the behavior. That’s how nostr will end up growing and one of our key tools are zaps here.
Like #introductions, I propose that we also open up #feedback or some other tag where we can incentivize commerce with zap by requesting UX feedback from others and zapping
7000-25000 zaps per feedback event.
I just tried it now and it felt good to do and I think ideas like this will add more depth and meaning to the platform.
