Showed my wife this and her response -

“That’s just good summertime fun. Being European sounds boring”.

I love her 🤣

Been to Vegas 3 times in 2 years for work stuff. Super over it, don’t want to go again

I really dig these new mid sized trucks like GMC Canyon or Ford Ranger, but people are completely insane for paying $45k+.

You’re legit crazy if you think because something is older it’s safer 🤣everything has a vulnerability at some point

It’s an insanely hard problem to solve too. In theory, security teams can monitor for this sort of thing, but the problem is identifying if a customer service rep accessing the data is legitimate or not. Compounded by that, getting access controls right is incredibly difficult at scale.

This is too far for any practical application where you’re trying to do business.

Yes, the best to secure a computer is to turn it off, but then you can’t use the damn thing

It’s literally impossible to completely secure computers. There will always be some kind of opening. The best you can do is try to minimize the pain.

My favorite way to secure sensitive data is to never collect it in the first place.

I have an old MacBook Pro that has only 8gb of memory and had become essentially useless because of how slow MacOS runs on it.

Installed PopOS and now runs like a dream. MacOS is quickly becoming just as bad as windows IMO.

This time, we’re totally going to do the right thing

You’re outrageously naive if you think the tech bros are just going to usher in utopia with no consequences to freedom. At the very least, these robots will spy on you and manipulate you at an unprecedented level.

I agree completely. It’s a huge part of the AI psyop of today. Get you comfortable not doing your own thinking, reading, analyzing

Start with small, achievable steps. Trying to get to 100% ready quickly is overwhelming.

If you don’t have a gun, buy one. Then train with it.

If you don’t have food storage, buy a chest freezer. Get a 1/4 cow from a local farmer. Buy a few extra non perishables every time you go to the store. Buy extra water bottles.

Buy a small generator, basically enough to keep your appliances running.

Scaling creates numerous problems including extreme centralization. On top of that, consumers have to settle for “good enough” versions of products and services they need. It limits career opportunities and entrepreneurship. It also results in monoculture agriculture that ends up poisoning us and the land in the long run.

It’s nasty, fiat minded stuff.

I want to use Primal as my daily client so badly, but it’s so incredibly buggy. I love the UI but the bugs become unbearable. And the lack of NWC on iOS really kills my enthusiasm.

Nah it works fine. I just have to do so much button pressing through several menus to get it setup
