Mixing music is all about handling emotion, vibe , and impact. All the technical stuff are just tools that should be inherently know , so that you don’t need to think or wonder what should be used. These tools come into play when you have a vision for the record, the vision leads to the plan , and the plan leads to the tool. Ultimately , there is no right or wrong answer , the service of the song is the goal. So the tools needed are ones to serve that specific emotion , vibe , or impact.

Mixing music is something that takes a long time to learn, and it takes time to train your ears. This time can be shortened by going to work for a studio, or having a good mentor. Without these things , knowledge comes from trial and error. You’ve gotta release crappy records , a lot of them , before you start to really see the picture. This picture is blurry at first , but with each bad recording or bad mix, you start seeing the picture better and better. Time to get back to this mix!
Maybe silly , but is there a book or video you might suggest , for verifying my node? Or maybe validating maybe a better term .
