Which book were you referring to? Was it The Apocalypse of Yajnavalkaya?
I don't see angels as being humans because they aren't descended from Adam. I do agree that they look human, that's clear from the Bible, although they are also terrifying and always telling humans they encounter to not be afraid.
Perhaps angels are now like what humans will become in the Resurrection. The sons of God will have glorified, resurrection bodies like Jesus has, and the angels are sometimes called the sons of God in Scripture.
The Mormons have a saying that as Man is God once was, and as God is Man may become. I disagree with that, but I do think it may be true in regard to angels and humans.
What's your source for"it also says that as time gets closer more will be revealed"?
My brother believes that and calls it "progressive revelation."
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see the Second Coming happen soon as well, but I can't base my theology on what I want to happen.
My brother is a Dispensensationalist and sends me videos he's watched from time to time to try to persuade me or to get my take on them. Here's one he sent me today, which reminded me of this post. I only could stand a few minutes of it, but it helped me see why Dispensensationalism is like Neo-Gnosticism: they claim to have special or esoteric knowledge about the End Times and when things take place, despite the fact that Jesus told His disciples it's not for you to know (Acts 1:7).
U.S. Debt Has Surpassed $34 Trillion...
"Washington’s public debt now amounts to about $102,000 for every man, woman and child in the US, or nearly $260,000 per household."

At what point do you declare bankruptcy and shut it down for good?

Hmm, Nostr just recently had an attack of possibly AI-generated bots with bogus accounts...🤨
They just changed the law in California so that cops can't ask you this question now. Finally a law I can agree with out of California!
Pretty amazing
I was thinking of Lightning network to enable small BTC transfers as being like the ancient money order networks to enable small gold transfers (when travel was much slower and riskier).
Then it hit me - Lightning, or something like it could work for gold as well as BitCoin. "Own physical gold" many say. Cool. But how do you spend it when SHTF? So transferring some gold to another Lightning node is harder and more expensive than transferring BTC. But the principle is the same. Sorry about the empty note. Coracle wouldn't let me type the rest of the note after tagging people. So I'll try tagging at the end.

Are you saying that you wouldn't have to move the physical gold around, you just use Lightning to do the accounting?
You don't think people would pay small amounts of sats, say 21 or even 21 sats/minute to view content? I would (but I would also be more discriminating in my viewing).
But there are certain Nostr apps like nostr:npub1zach44xjpc4yyhx6pgse2cj2pf98838kja03dv2e8ly8lfr094vqvm5dy5's Flare.pub, and Nostr-adjacent apps like nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 that don't even publish their comments to the global feed, as far as I know. In the case of Flare perhaps that's a NIP thing.
To me this is the way to truly create a global public square, as Elon Musk "says" he wants.
Couldn't any other social media company like x/Twitter or Threads, etc., spin up a relay that can work on Nostr? Then users of those apps could post onto the app's relay, and if they violate that app's rules they could be kicked off that app or have their post deleted from that relay.
If this is a possibility, and I don't see why not, x/Twitter, for example, could create a Twitter-like client that runs on their Nostr relay, and also let their users use their x/Twitter handle as their Nip-05. That could help solve the uncertainty surrounding verifying users, esp. celebrities and influencers.
#asknostr 🤔
Ban the * public* skrewels.
This version by Joseph Plummer is more like an abridgement of Tragedy and Hope by Carroll Quigley. It's what came up when I did a quick Google search for your question. It is also good, and shorter.
I have it on my bookshelf. It will likely be one of the books I read this year.
If I could only read one book this year, what would you recommend?
