"In search of a digital town square" by Pete Zeldman
Nice! IFB = infantile fascist billionaire
Nostr is not mentioned here. I suspect Mr Zeldman isn't aware of the existence of the Nostr network (yet). So let me just ask it: https://nwb.social/@zeldman@front-end.social/111971087334219048
"If BlueSky is MacOS and Threads is Windows, Mastodon is Linux: a great choice for techies, but likely too steep a hill for Ma and Pa Normie."
Where would we scale Nostr compared to this? It's (still) very geeky as wel.

"...the price tag of mass acceptance is ease of setup"
True, he was jabbed, though:
i just found this searching for the #coracle hashtag and i never knew the story behind it... pretty cool... in fact, it seems like it was the thing that made nostr:nprofile1qyfhwumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetsv9njuetn9uq3jamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwwdhx7un59eek7cmfv9kz7qgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vghsqgyzxs0cs2mw40xjhfl3a7g24ktpeur54u2mnm6y5z0e6250h7lx5g7t4xhn decide to start throwing money at #nostr
nice little piece of history, and it also makes sense now why coracle is the best developed client in the field... not only one of the oldest, also built by a guy who could himself design a protocol like nostr...
Thanks for sharing this. I had missed it previously. It increases my esteem of nostr:npub1jlrs53pkdfjnts29kveljul2sm0actt6n8dxrrzqcersttvcuv3qdjynqn even more.
Wasn't Peter Schiff's dad put in prison for tax evasion? They must have penalties written somewhere on which they proceed.
Hmm, there must be a law that says that, then. And I would ask what is this huge federal tax code if there are no income tax laws?
I haven't been through the process, but I suppose they will first write to you asking you if you filed a tax return, and then use your admission that you didn't as evidence against you. And I know that is self-incrimination, but I don't know if they will care.
Does anyone owe federal income tax if there is no income tax law?
I do notice they kept referring to "the average American wage earner..."
Right! He is the Life! Why would anyone want to live any other way?
Well, do you continue in Christ's word/teachings, i.e., live by them? That is what proves whether you are really His follower and whether His word is in you or not.
It's a spiritual thing, being "in Christ". If His Word is in you and you abide in it and live according to it, you are in/with Christ.
Well, there is Christ, and not of Christ (though He is the Maker of all things). He said "he that is not with Me is against Me."
I don't understand your question. Do you mean "Is a heretic part of Christ?"
In today's terms we might say 'One of you says, "I belong to Rome” or “I belong to the Othodox Church,” or “I belong to the Lutherans, or the Evangelicals” or “I belong to Christ.” Is Christ divided?'
It comes from 1 Corinthians 1:10–13 (CSB): "Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction. For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers and sisters, by members of Chloe’s people, that there is rivalry among you. What I am saying is this: One of you says, “I belong to Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,” or “I belong to Cephas,” or “I belong to Christ.” Is Christ divided?"
Is Christ divided?
Does "The Chosen" present a FALSE Jesus?
This Catholic critique says it does...

I just learned the other day (not today) that some people I know grew up eating peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches! 😶
Thanks for the feedback. If I stick with the infodump, should it still give links, or no links just the info?
I agree with you on the terrible precedent this sets. End of the Republic kind of stuff, methinks. First president to be in court charged with a crime, but a politically motivated one like this!
What's everyone currently reading?
I just started reading a book now available in English for the first time since it was published in German over two centuries ago: "Restoration of Political Science, Or Theory of The Natural Social State Against the Fiction of an Artificial Civil State, Vol. 1", by Karl Ludwig von Haller.
Exciting to me, but I'm sure it would bore most people. 😄
