I suppose so, but I'm intrigued by the attitude that does not seek to know things. I realize there may be times when you wish that you hadn't known some things, though...
“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity,” (usually attributed to Seneca)
"Again I saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, or the battle to the strong, or bread to the wise, or riches to the discerning, or favor to the skillful; rather, time and chance happen to all of them."
–The Bible, Ecclesiastes 9:11
So "Trust, but verify" has morphed into "Don't trust, verify"?
They need to be disbanded; too much censorship and editing by spooks going on there...
I hadn't seen that, thanks for sharing.
And here was a good point someone made in regard to this issue:
If you look at the fourth email dated January 10 2009, "Satoshi" appears to be quoting Hal Finney's overview, perhaps even cutting and pasting it into his own email to Adam. My point is, Hal Finney, as an American, probably did not write in British English, so the 'z' in 'decentralization' may not point to an error on the part of "Satoshi". In fact, I would think it weird if Hal Finney's quote by "Satoshi" here used the British spelling with an 's'.
I got as far as perhaps the second or third episode of the first season where Jesus is camping or something and interacting with the kids. Since the whole thing was obviously fictional they lost me at that point. I'm okay with taking some artistic liberties, filling in some plausible details, but I like it to go along with what we actually have written that happened. I'm not too into people making up things whole cloth.
Why not both?
Dust that was given consciousness by the most intelligent force in the universe, and became a living soul?
nostrpedia.com could also be a possibility, but someone also owns it ( nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6?), and it currently points to https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nostr
But in your common knowledge, did Hal Finney, who is allegedly quoted here, use British English too?
Did everyone in the cryptography mailing list always use 's' instead of 'z', though? "Satoshi" is quoting Hal Finney here, and Finney was American...
Is anyone familiar with either of these email addresses being known to have been used by Satoshi? If so, why the change?
Also, nostr:npub1z4m7gkva6yxgvdyclc7zp0vz4ta0s2d9jh8g83w03tp5vdf3kzdsxana6p, what is your source for these documents?
Any idea how many users #Nostr is at right now?

I did a quick search on the word "taxes" in the New Testament and it's interesting to see that tax collectors are always grouped with sinners, adulterers, the greedy, the unrighteous, Gentiles...😄
I did see that in Luke 3:11-12 it appears that the tax collectors were authorized, i.e., had the authority, to collect taxes from the people, according to John the Baptist:
"Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they asked him, “Teacher, what should we do?” He told them, “Don’t collect any more than what you have been authorized.”"
I do agree that when governments exceed what they have been authorized by God to do, that is, punish evildoers and praise those who do good (1 Peter 2:14), then they are acting illegitimately and can be morally resisted.
Thank you, and nice try.😃
Peter issues no command to "pay tax."
Looking closely, neither does Paul in the Romans passage you cite.🤔 What is actually stated is "Pay what you owe."
Do you owe me taxes? No?
What if I make it official by documenting the following law:
"I, nostr:npub1cxp3l03x20mkzezzr4takm8w8zuva7xwvacmcewp97z58hjt8xls3mexlq decree this day that nostr:npub1mt8x8vqvgtnwq97sphgep2fjswrqqtl4j7uyr667lyw7fuwwsjgs5mm7cz owes me a tax of 21k SATs every time he responds to one of my notes."
There, I've established a tax debt, pay up!🤣
But that doesn't work with the IRS or other State entities, does it?
Romans 13:7 comes to mind: "Pay your obligations to everyone: taxes to those you owe taxes, tolls to those you owe tolls, respect to those you owe respect, and honor to those you owe honor."
As well as as the "mini Romans 13":
1 Peter 2:13–17 (CSB): "Submit to every human authority because of the Lord, whether to the emperor as the supreme authority 14 or to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good. 15 For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good. 16 Submit as free people, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as God’s slaves. 17 Honor everyone. Love the brothers and sisters. Fear God. Honor the emperor."
Thanks for sharing that. I accept that that "States" and "governments" have no legitimate authority to "tax" anyone. The question for me, as a Christian, is whether Jesus and His Apostles have still commanded us to pay taxes to them nonetheless? If so, it would be wrong to try to evade taxes, right?
