Some excerpts:
"The constitutional democracies of old have morphed into a monstrosity that defies definition.
"It is a system with incestuous relationships between activists, mega-rich oligarchs and business titans buying media outlets, judges, politicians and riotous street-thugs to advance their own political, ideological and business interests. All of them promoting a globalized concentration of power."
"Just about anywhere in the Western world we have
a bankrupt and/or unsustainable welfare system
an unsustainable level of public debt coupled with
an irresponsible monetary policy
unsustainable levels of public spending
a deeply corrupt political system
an ever-increasing tax-burden
an ever-increasing levels AND SCOPE of regulations
an ever-increasing level of censorship and intrusion into the personal lives of private citizens
a dysfunctional and corrupt legal system"
"There is no country left in the Western world with any trace of the spirit that motivated the American revolution."

Some excerpts:
“I think the predominate problem in America is Fascism. This is evident through the fasces symbolism displayed behind the podium in the United States House of Representatives. The fasces was the origin of the name of the Nationalist Fascist Party of Italy (from which the term fascism is derived)."

Unfortunately, I have to agree. It's the charade that gets the buy-in/compliance of the subjects...
New nostr client just dropped: https://github.com/dluvian/voyage/releases/tag/v0.1.0
- Outbox model
- Reddit-like UI (root post feed, topics, up/downvotes, thread tree)
- Login only via external signer (Amber)
- Text only. No pictures and no videos
It behaves like Nozzle but without these annoying loading times. Next few releases will just add the functionality that Nozzle already implemented, after that the real fun will begin.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.
This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter with a half-million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. . . .
This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."
- Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chance_for_Peace_speech
Admittedly, it would be a better use of the money, but those schools and power plants and hospitals are also theft if they are paid for through taxes.

True. The Deep State was still entangled in Afghanistan and was too busy making war on the Trump administration to start any new wars at the time.
This is why I wish all of the applications would feed their new content in the Nostr social clients' feeds so that we can see what is new there, without having to visit each site individually. For example, what new video uploads are there on Flare.pub? What new music on nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg, or Stemstr? What new torrents uploads on DTAN.xyz? Or articles on Wikifeedia? Could all of these "feed" into Nostr's global feed?

I often think to myself "Earth is such a paradise!"
We haven't discovered any other place in the universe comparable to it...
They are a cartel. Never a straight answer.

All of these hearings seem to go this way, as bureaucrats do their utmost to NOT answer questions. And they do it with impunity because Congress is pretty much powerless anymore, having ceded their powers to the Executive branch and administrative agencies.
America is due for a reset in terms of it's government...
"The reason the Kennedy assassination still matters is that the all-powerful entity that orchestrated the assassination is still in existence … still covering it up … and still sending out that same message: Defer to us … or else."
The U.S. #GovtIsTheProblem
"After World War II, the U.S. government was converted into a national-security state, which is a totally different type of governmental structure. The national-security branch of the government — i.e., the Pentagon, the vast military-industrial complex, the army of “defense” contractors, the CIA, and the NSA — wield omnipotent, totalitarian-like powers, including the power of assassination. There is no such thing as “limited government” under a national-security state."

#TIL also that there is a 10 million gallon cistern beneath the Temple Mount in Jerusalem 😯
History records that the Temple of Yahweh was destroyed twice centuries apart by the Babylonians and the Romans ON THE SAME EXACT DATE.
Is that a sign of divine judgment, or just an interesting coinkydink?
"Many chinese classics texts, such as the ShangShu, Shi Ji, Y Zing, and Shi Zing, describe Shang Di (supreme God in Chinese mythology) with attributes similar to those of Yahweh (supreme God in Hebrew religion). Both are the creators of the universe, including humans. Both first made the heavens, earth, and animals, and then made man and woman last. Both are spirits which forbade construction of statue idols. Both desire animal sacrifices specifically, perfect bulls and lambs. Records dating back to 2205 B.C. describe Chinese regularly offering lamb sacrifices to ShangDi at Mount Tai on the eastern border of China. Later, this sacrificial practice was moved to the Forbidden City in Beijing, at the Temple of Heaven."
